  • Patent number: 8379874
Abstract: A wireless device and method may comprise, by way of example, a device and method for receiving wireless transmissions which may include locating data, or authorization data or program data, for determining its location from the locating data, or for determining synchronization for program data, or for ticketing, or for a combination thereof. Authorization data and/or locating data and/or other data may be used to authorize reproduction and/or controlling of received program data, and or for controlling the wireless device. Video program data may be delayed by a number of video frames, preferably an integer number, so as to be substantially synchronized with natural sound. The device and method may determine a location for delaying received program data to be substantially in time alignment with natural sound. A ticketing entity may control a ticket and/or and authorization, and/or may control a remote device thereby.

  • Patent number: 8290174
Abstract: A wireless device and method may comprise a receiver and method for receiving wireless transmissions including locating data, authorization data and program data, and for determining its location from the locating data and a stored representation of a venue. Authorization data and locating data are used to authorize reproduction and/or controlling of received program data. The device and method may determine a delay time to its location for delaying the received program data to be substantially in time alignment with natural sound, and to be so reproduced and/or recorded. Optionally, a binaural microphone may pick up ambient sound which is mixed or combined with the delayed program data for producing a combined stereo audio signal.

  • Publication number: 20120109166
Abstract: A prosthetic anchor to be attached to a natural or prosthetic structure of a human or animal. The anchor includes a central layer with first and second surface. A plurality of fiber bundles, each with a medial portion, are concentrically embedded within the central layer to substantially define a horseshoe-shaped pattern. A substrate element is configured to be secured to the natural or prosthetic structure and to receive the second surface of the central layer. A securing element operably coupled to the second surface of the central layer is configured to secure the central layer to the substrate element in at least two positions.

  • Patent number: 7995770
Abstract: A receiver and method is for receiving wireless transmissions including program data and locating data, and for determining its location from the locating data, and optionally from a stored representation of a venue and/or sound reproducing transducers therein. The receiver and method may also determine the actual speed of sound from current local atmospheric data, and determine a delay time to its location therefrom for delaying the received program data to be substantially in time alignment with natural sound, and to be so reproduced and/or recorded. A binaural microphone may pick up ambient sound which is mixed or combined with the delayed program data for producing a combined stereo audio signal.

  • Publication number: 20070251041
Abstract: The invention is directed to a multi-adjustable paint applicator assembly including an elongated handle with a first adjustment assembly that provides angular movement of an upper handle portion with respect to a lower handle portion. A base is rotatably connected to the handle by a second adjustment assembly that provides rotational movement of the base with respect to the handle. The base also has an upper portion with a receiver that slidingly engages a projection extending from a paint applicator. The paint applicator may be a paint brush, roller or pad with an applicator surface. The first and second adjustment assemblies each include a fastener and an arrangement of mating members that intermesh with another arrangement of mating members, wherein the fastener provides tension between the arrangements to releasably secure the angular or rotational position.

  • Publication number: 20070044369
Abstract: An implement for a fishing line includes a weighted body having two ends and a longitudinal axis there between where the weighted body is adapted to be placed on the fishing line about the longitudinal axis, a front portion disposed at one end of the weighted body along the longitudinal axis where the front portion has a slot for receiving the fishing line, and a rear portion disposed at the other end of the weighted body along the longitudinal axis where the rear portion has a slot for receiving the fishing line. The weighted body has a first groove extending along the rear portion, at least one groove that curves about a periphery of the weighted body from the first groove to a second groove extending along the front portion so that the fishing implement can capture the fishing line by wrapping the fishing line about the weighted body.

  • Patent number: 6978962
Abstract: A wire winding machine includes two mandrels for winding wire alternately thereon. A traverse positions wire axially along each mandrel, and moves in an arcuate path to position wire adjacent one or the other mandrel. A single transfer arm transfers wire from a wound to an unwound mandrel by extending a wire guide adjacent the wound mandrel, retracting the wire guide to engage the wire, rotating to position the wire adjacent the wound mandrel, and extending to guide the wire into a clamping and cutting mechanism. The mechanism clamps and cuts the wire in response to the mandrel end cap being placed into position. The wire winding machine includes a portable operator console, and a network interface. A wire tension control unit includes a radiated signal source and detector to detect movement of a moveable pulley assembly relative to a fixed pulley assembly to control the supply of wire.
