  • Publication number: 20190191626
Abstract: In an embodiment, a method comprises determining, in received yield data, one or more passes, each pass including a plurality of observations. For each pass of the one or more passes, one or more discrete derivatives are determined, and based on the one or more discrete derivatives first outlier data is generated. First filtered data is generated by removing the first outlier data from the yield data. Furthermore, for each observation in the yield data, a plurality of nearest neighbor observations is determined, and used to determine a plurality of absolute differences in yield values. Based on the plurality of absolute differences, second outlier data is determined. Second filtered data is generated by removing the second outlier data from the first filtered data. Using a presentation layer of a computer system, a graphical representation of the second filtered data is generated and displayed on the computing system.

  • Patent number: 10286830
Abstract: A retaining apparatus includes a base member having a backing portion engaging a first side of a fixed plate and a cleat engaging a second side of the fixed plate. A neck portion connects the backing portion to the cleat and slidingly engages a keyway hole in the fixed plate. The retaining apparatus also includes a locking member coupled to the base member by a hinge. The locking member defines a disengaged position spaced from the fixed plate and is pivotable to an engaged position to secure the apparatus to the fixed plate.

  • Publication number: 20190135667
Abstract: Wastewater is treated though primary treatment of the water by way of a micro-sieve to produce a primary effluent and primary sludge. There is secondary treatment of the primary effluent by way of a membrane bioreactor (MBR) or an integrated fixed film activated sludge (IFAS) reactor to produce a secondary effluent and a waste activated sludge. The micro-sieve may have openings of 250 microns or less, for example about 150 microns. In a process, a gas transfer membrane is immersed in water. Pressurized air flows into the gas transfer membrane. An exhaust gas is withdrawn from the gas transfer membrane and used to produce bubbles from an aerator immersed in the water.

  • Publication number: 20190087682
Abstract: A system for detecting clouds and cloud shadows is described. In one approach, clouds and cloud shadows within a remote sensing image are detected through a three step process. In the first stage a high-precision low-recall classifier is used to identify cloud seed pixels within the image. In the second stage, a low-precision high-recall classifier is used to identify potential cloud pixels within the image. Additionally, in the second stage, the cloud seed pixels are grown into the potential cloud pixels to identify clusters of pixels which have a high likelihood of representing clouds. In the third stage, a geometric technique is used to determine pixels which likely represent shadows cast by the clouds identified in the second stage. The clouds identified in the second stage and the shadows identified in the third stage are then exported as a cloud mask and shadow mask of the remote sensing image.

  • Patent number: 10174563
Abstract: A drill bit is disclosed. The drill bit includes a bit body and a plurality of blades on the bit body. A cutting element is located on one of the plurality of blades and is communicatively coupled to a depth of cut controller (DOCC) located on the one of the plurality of blades. The DOCC is coupled to the cutting element such that the DOCC moves in response to an external force on the cutting element.

  • Publication number: 20180044211
Abstract: A bioreactor has a biofilm that receives a gas through a supporting membrane and another biofilm attached to an inert support. The first biofilm is aerated through the membrane and provides nitrification. The other biofilm has an anoxic or anaerobic zone and provides denitrification. A module useful in the bioreactor has cords potted in at least one potting head. Optionally, some or all of the cords have a gas transfer membrane. The module may provide inert supports, active gas transfer supports or a combination of both types of support. Multiple modules may be assembled together into a cassette, the cassette providing inert supports, active supports or a combination. The module or cassette may have an aerator for mixing or biofilm control.

  • Publication number: 20170351790
Abstract: A method for estimating growth stage threshold values for a specific hybrid seed at a specific geo-location using historical growth stage data and observed growth stage data comprises using a server computer system, storing a historical crop growth model of one or more hybrid seeds measured from one or more fields over a particular period of time. The historical crop growth model includes growth stage threshold estimates for one or more hybrid seeds. The server computer system receives, via a network, one or more digital measurement values specifying one or more observed growth stage values for a particular hybrid seed at a particular field over a particular period of time. The server computer system transforms the growth stage thresholds into growth stage duration values for the historical crop data and the observed crop data.

  • Publication number: 20170348835
Abstract: A torque fastening system and method for applying torque to secure a fastener, includes actuating a torque tool to provide an initial command torque value to the servo drive of an electric motor for applying torque to a fastener. The initial command torque value is less than a target command torque value corresponding to a desired maximum target torque value entered by an operator. The torque fastening system operates at the initial command torque value to rotate a threaded fastener. Thereafter, in response to a spike in torque that corresponds to a decrease in motor speed, the torque tool output changes from the initial command torque value to a jump command torque value having a greater power value to increase torque applied by the torque tool to a fastener. The command torque value is ramped from the jump command torque value toward the target command torque value to increase the torque provided by the torque tool.
