Publication number: 20240104549Abstract: Disclosed are a system and methods enabling updating of a card number of a payment card and thereby reissuing the payment card utilizing a reissue application associated with the payment card. The reissue application, when executed communicates with a service provider that manages the payment card. The payment card includes processing circuitry and a rewriteable visual display. Using cryptographic techniques, the reissue application and payment card are authenticated to the service provider. Upon verification, an updated card number is obtained and provided via near-field communication to the payment card. In response to the update payment card number received from the reissue application, the rewriteable visual display on the payment card is updated with the updated card number. Other information may also be presented on the rewriteable visual display of the payment card based on user preferences.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 5, 2023Publication date: March 28, 2024Applicant: Capital One Services, LLCInventors: Jeffrey RULE, Colin HART, Kevin OSBORN, Rajko ILINCIC

Publication number: 20230195449Abstract: Systems, methods and computer program products are presented for the automated deployment of a code update to a device. One or more clusters of devices may be connected to a development environment for deployment of one or more code updates through respective development pipelines to the respective clusters of devices. A first cluster of devices receives a module for implementation of an agent for the first cluster of devices and a central queue local to a centralized controller of the development environment. The agent reports at least one status of a respective device to the centralized controller of the development environment, whereby that status may correspond to a code update image pulled onto the respective device. The agent retrieves one or more instruction messages from the centralized controller in response to the reported status of the respective device.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 13, 2023Publication date: June 22, 2023Inventors: Jeffrey Hart, Andrew Backes, Alex Bello, Isaac Mosquera

Patent number: 9808221Abstract: An intracavity ultrasound probe includes a pivotally mounted array transducer which is oscillated to scan a volumetric region from within the body. The transducer is oscillated by a motor located in the probe handle. The array transducer is immersed in a liquid which acoustically couples ultrasonic energy between the elements of the transducer and the body. The acoustic coupling liquid is located in the distal tip of the probe shaft, where only 6 cc of liquid is required. The small amount of liquid reduces the weight of the shaft of the probe so that the center of gravity of the probe is in the handle, making the probe comfortable and easy to manipulate. The majority of parts in the probe shaft are made of aluminum or other low density materials, keeping the overall weight of the probe to about 250 grams.Type: GrantFiled: March 22, 2005Date of Patent: November 7, 2017Assignee: Koninklijke Philips N.V.Inventors: David Becker, Terry Wray, Jeffrey Hart

Patent number: 8475384Abstract: An ultrasound probe includes a transducer array which is moved back and forth to sweep the image plane of the array through a volumetric region for 3D scanning. The transducer array is mounted on a carriage assembly which moves back and forth on a pair of rails inside a fluid compartment in the probe. The rails are preferentially arcuately curved to provide an elevationally divergent scan with a relatively wide aperture in the near field. A cam is provided for a motor-driven cable drive for the carriage assembly which provides relatively linear motion through the path of travel of the transducer array.Type: GrantFiled: July 22, 2009Date of Patent: July 2, 2013Assignee: Koninklijke Philips Electroncis N.V.Inventors: Jeffrey Hart, Brian Moist, Dennis Clark, Daniel Agius

Patent number: 8353838Abstract: An ultrasound probe includes a transducer which is pivotally mounted inside a fluid chamber for scanning a region outside the probe as the transducer is oscillated. A volume compensation balloon is attached to the fluid chamber and is partially filled with acoustic fluid at nominal (room) temperatures. The balloon is made of a high performance thermoplastic which enables the balloon to have a very thin wall. The thin wall is highly compliant as the volume of the fluid inside the balloon changes, and remains so at low temperatures of transport and use. The thin wall exhibits a low permeability to the acoustic fluid. The balloon is formed of a non elastic material and exhibits good thermal stability and high burst strength.Type: GrantFiled: March 22, 2005Date of Patent: January 15, 2013Assignee: Koninklijke Philips Electronics N.V.Inventors: Kevin Wickline, Jeffrey Hart, Mark Harpster, Charles Cruikshank, David Becker

Patent number: 8353839Abstract: An ultrasound probe has a transducer array which is moved to scan a patient with ultrasonic energy. The array is located in a fluid chamber (42) which is enclosed by an acoustic window end cap (34). The acoustic window cap is coated with a thin conductive layer (38) which shields the transducer and its motive mechanism from EFI/RFI emissions. The conductive layer is coupled to a reference potential.Type: GrantFiled: March 22, 2005Date of Patent: January 15, 2013Assignee: Koninklijke Philips Electronics N.V.Inventors: Barry Scheirer, Kevin Wickline, David Becker, Jeffrey Hart

Patent number: 7484412Abstract: An ultrasound probe includes a transducer (46) which is mechanically oscillated to sweep beams from the transducer over an image region of a subject. The transducer is located in a first compartment of a fluid-filled chamber which is coupled to a second compartment of the fluid-filled chamber by a bubble trap tube. A drive shaft (50) which is coupled to oscillate the transducer enters and passes through the secondary chamber before terminating at the transducer oscillation mechanism in the main chamber. This locates the dynamic seal of the drive shaft which is connected between the fluid-filled chamber and the outside air so that any air leakage of the seal will leak into the secondary compartment and not into the compartment where the transducer is located.Type: GrantFiled: March 22, 2005Date of Patent: February 3, 2009Assignee: Koninklijke Philips Electronics N.V.Inventors: Jeffrey Hart, Terry Wray
