    Abstract: A method for establishing a private group conversation includes the step of sending a message from a first radio requesting that an exclusive channel be established with a second radio (step 302). Once the exclusive channel has been established, either one of the first or second radios can then send a message to the system controller (104) requesting that a third radio be added to the conversation taking place via the exclusive channel (step 306).
