  • Patent number: 11980899
Abstract: A shower assembly includes an inlet port, a reservoir, and a plurality of drop outlet ports. The inlet port receives water from a water source at an inlet flow rate. The reservoir receives water from the inlet port, and is not pressurized by a line pressure of the water source even when the reservoir receives the water at a maximum inlet flow rate of up to 2.5 gallons per minute. Each of the plurality of drop outlet ports is configured such that water passes from the reservoir through the plurality of drop outlet ports, forms a drop at each drop outlet port, and falls from each drop outlet port by gravity only as discrete drops of water. A total flow capacity of the plurality of drop outlet ports is greater than or equal to the maximum inlet flow rate.

  • Publication number: 20240082856
Abstract: A shower system includes a shower assembly and a mounting system. The shower assembly includes a reservoir configured to receive water from a water source and one or more outlets for passing water from the reservoir. The shower assembly also includes a plurality of shower mounting features provided in a first non-adjustable spatial orientation on the shower assembly. The mounting system is configured to couple the shower assembly to a building structure and adjust a position of the shower assembly relative to the building structure. The mounting system includes a bracket configured to be coupled to the building structure at a fixed position. The mounting system also includes a plurality of bracket mounting features provided in a second non-adjustable spatial orientation on the bracket and configured to align each of the plurality of bracket mounting features with one of the shower mounting features for coupling thereto.

  • Publication number: 20200256351
Abstract: A centrifugal pump with a radial impeller having a first and second body portions and a plurality of impeller blades. The impeller blades are spaced circumferentially about the rotary axis and cooperate with the first and second body portions to define a plurality of flow channels. Each of the impeller blades has an axial leading edge and an axial trailing edge. At least a portion of each of the impeller blades has a rake that is contoured along the rotary axis of the radial impeller such that the axial trailing edge is offset in the first circumferential direction from the axial leading edge at meridional points along the portion of the impeller blade having the rake. A method for forming a radial impeller is also provided.

  • Patent number: 8186978
Abstract: A pump includes a housing with a pumping chamber, first and second check valves, and an inlet and an outlet in fluid communication with the pumping chamber through the check valves. The housing also includes a linear actuator with a pumping element located in the pumping chamber wherein actuation of the linear actuator induces the pumping element to move between the first and second check valves between a first position wherein the pump element moves toward the first check valve and generates a positive pressure in the pumping chamber that maintains the first check valve closed and opens the second check valve to allow fluid to flow to the outlet, and a second position wherein the pumping element moves away from the first check valve and reduces the pressure in the pumping chamber to allow the first check valve to open and draw in fluid from the inlet.
