Publication number: 20240133435Abstract: A tool for retracting pistons into cylinder bores is disclosed. A plurality of centering cones are provided to engage with a multitude of piston sizes and configurations. A user selects an appropriately sized centering cone and engages the selected centering cone with a spring loaded distal pusher portion of said tool. A female threaded collar and spreader plate combination receives a male threaded thrust bolt. The male threaded thrust bolt carries the spring loaded distal pusher portion. The spreader plate is pressed against a face of the caliper assembly, and rotation of the male threaded thrust bolt by a driver, such as a ratchet wrench or impact gun, applies inward and rotating forces from the spring loaded distal pusher portion of said tool to the piston, while separating the spring loaded distal pusher portion of said tool from the spreader plate.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 2, 2024Publication date: April 25, 2024Applicant: A & E INCORPORATEDInventors: JEFFREY J KUZMIC, BILLY GREUEL

Publication number: 20220080563Abstract: The present invention relates to a jointed wrench. A multi-directional knuckle in a midsection or handle of the wrench allows for multiple angles created in the handle of the wrench. This allows a user to manipulate a ratcheting portion of the wrench into otherwise inconvenient spaces, such as an interior of an automobile engine compartment. In another aspect of the present invention, a locking ring is paired with a fine tooth wheel within a ratchet, and the locking ring couples with locking detented sockets or adaptors.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 11, 2020Publication date: March 17, 2022Applicant: A & E INCORPORATEDInventors: Jeffrey J. Patent number: 11261926Abstract: A tool for retracting pistons into cylinder bores is disclosed. Plates of the present invention are locked by a key to prevent the plates from spinning independently. Additionally, the key acts as an internal stop, providing a point beyond which the plates cannot be further spread or separated from one another. Additionally, a spring is provided to prevent the thread from turning independently from the plates.Type: GrantFiled: November 10, 2020Date of Patent: March 1, 2022Inventors: Jeffrey J Kuzmic, Billy Greuel

Patent number: 11135709Abstract: A tool for retracting pistons into cylinder bores is disclosed, with a narrow gap between facing pressure plates allowing use of the tool in tight places, and ratcheting spreading of the facing pressure plates causing outward moving of the pistons, enabling work to be performed. One of the pressure plates is reversible to change the minimum narrow gap from a first width to a second width. In each of the orientations, the plates are movable towards and away from one another.Type: GrantFiled: May 9, 2019Date of Patent: October 5, 2021Assignee: A & E INCORPORATEDInventors: Bruce J. Engel, Jeffrey J. Kuzmic, Billy Greuel, Jason Horner

Patent number: 11065741Abstract: A ratcheting brake bleeder wrench is provided which sealingly couples to a bleed valve. The brake bleeder wrench has an internal fluid passageway which allows egress of fluid from a hydraulic brake system. The ratcheting brake bleeder wrench is used to open the bleed valve, allowing egress of fluid, remains in place during the bleeding operation, and reverses direction upon completion of bleeding to tighten the bleed valve back into sealing relationship with the hydraulic brake system.Type: GrantFiled: October 10, 2018Date of Patent: July 20, 2021Assignee: A & E IncorporatedInventors: Vincent Dahl, Jeffrey J. Kuzmic
