  • Publication number: 20230284553
Abstract: A vehicle has a vehicle frame having a first end and a second end and a first siderail and a second siderail spaced laterally and each extend longitudinally from the first end to the second end. A caster wheel having a lateral axis is rotatably coupled to the vehicle frame towards the first end. Drive wheels defining an axis are rotatably coupled to the vehicle frame towards the second end. A prime mover coupled to the vehicle frame has a base and a vertical driveshaft, which is in operative communication with the drive wheels, extending from the base. The vertical driveshaft has a driveshaft axis closer to the second siderail than the first siderail laterally and closer to the caster wheel axis than the drive wheel axis longitudinally. The base is positioned vertically below most of the length of each of the first siderail and the second siderail.

  • Publication number: 20220314862
Abstract: The technology disclosed herein relates to a maintenance vehicle. The vehicle has a vehicle frame, drive wheels rotatably coupled to the vehicle frame and a prime mover coupled to the vehicle frame. The prime mover is in operative communication with the drive wheels. A hopper assembly is pivotably coupled to the vehicle frame. The hopper assembly has a hopper having a discharge opening and a spreader disk adjacent to the discharge opening. The hopper assembly is pivotable about a pivot axis between a maintenance position and an operating position. The spreader disk is positioned vertically below the discharge opening when the hopper assembly is in an operating position.

  • Patent number: 10029738
Abstract: A support platform isolator system for a turf maintenance vehicle. The isolator system may include one or more rear isolators, and one or more forward isolators, the isolators positioned between a chassis of the vehicle and a support platform. The isolator system may not only reduce “metal-on-metal” noise between the chassis and the platform, but may also attenuate vibration and/or shock loads transmitted to the platform. In addition, the system may assist in locating the platform on, and retaining the platform to, the chassis. The isolators of the system may form primary contact areas between the chassis and the platform.

  • Patent number: 9750172
Abstract: A turf implement has a frame that carries a rotatable turf slicing reel. A height adjustment lever pivots in opposite directions on the frame to raise and lower the slicing reel relative to the turf. A slot on the frame has a plurality of spaced notches. The adjustment lever carries a pin that is received in the slot and in any one of the notches to provide a desired adjusted position for the slicing reel height. A clamp is provided having a quick release locking lever that is selectively rotated between a locked position in which the clamp is in a tightly compressed condition relative to the frame to hold the adjustment lever in the desired adjusted position and an unlocked position in which the clamp is in a loosely expanded condition to permit the adjustment lever to be moved to change the desired adjusted position.

  • Patent number: 6669293
Abstract: An apparatus for reducing the vibration in the seat of a riding mower. The apparatus reduces the amount of vibration transferred from a mower frame to the seat. The device includes a mower frame, bracket, seat frame and isolators. Isolators separate the mower frame from the mower seat. Additionally, the bracket secures the mower seat to the mower frame in a manner such that the vertical components of vibration in the mower frame are not transmitted through the bracket.

  • Patent number: 6494028
Abstract: An apparatus for lifting a deck of a vehicle, such as a lawn mower, by a foot actuated deck lift mechanism. The device includes a lift lever pivotally coupled to a frame and having a pin movably attached thereto. A lift linkage has a first end pivotally coupled to the lift lever and a second end fixedly secured on a front shaft. A connecting linkage pivotally couples the front shaft to a rear shaft. Both the front and rear shafts are rotatably coupled to the frame. The lift lever has a first end fixedly secured to the front shaft and a second free end for operation with the operator's foot. The deck is attached to the deck lift mechanism. A foot actuated deck lift mechanism, depressed by the operator's foot, and simultaneously causes the deck to rise and the lift lever to radially pivot. A pin attached to the lift lever rides atop adjustment plates. When the lift lever has pivoted a preset amount, an opening provided in the adjustment plates receives the pin.
