  • Publication number: 20240109087
Abstract: A battery powered fluid sprayer includes a battery mounted to a vertically extending wall of the fluid sprayer. The battery powers an electric motor to power a pump to pump fluid to a spray gun for spraying. The battery is disposed within a battery chamber enclosed by a door. The battery is suspended above a base of the battery chamber to isolate battery from any fluid that may enter the chamber.

  • Publication number: 20220117813
Abstract: A patient support apparatus includes a deck to support a mattress and a patient on the mattress, the deck including a head deck section articulatable about an axis to change an angle of the head deck section, and a control system in communication with a user interface, with the control system configured to adjust the angle of the head deck section and to adjust the height of the deck in response to input at the user interface. The control system is in communication with a display and generates a GUI (graphical user interface) at the display to display a deck icon representative of the deck and a height icon representative of the height.

  • Patent number: 10450975
Abstract: A cycle-by-cycle skip-fire fuel-injection technique for pilot-ignited engines involve skip-firing selected combustion chambers when a low load condition is determined and modulating the fuel delivery to maintain the requisite engine power, while reducing pilot fuel quantity to a predetermined minimum. Overall pilot fuel consumption is thereby reduced.

    Assignee: WESTPORT POWER INC.
Inventors: Alain M. J. Touchette, Jeffrey J. Thompson
  • Patent number: 9488120
Abstract: An apparatus and method are provided for calibrating injection of fuel into at least one combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine. The internal combustion engine comprises at least one fuel injector and a fuel rail. The fuel rail is pressurized to a fuel rail pressure. The method comprises steps of (a) calculating an indicated torque for the internal combustion engine operating at a target fuelling from inputs comprising a fuelling command; (b) calculating a friction torque for the internal combustion engine from inputs comprising the target engine speed; (c) calculating a torque error from a difference between the indicated torque and the friction torque; and (d) determining a pulse-width correction factor for a first baseline pulse-width applied to actuate the at least one fuel injector whereby the torque error is below a predetermined threshold when the internal combustion engine is operating at the target fuelling.

  • Patent number: 8028676
Abstract: The method comprises receiving from the vehicle controller, values associated with the engine speed and of another parameter indicative of the engine operating conditions, such as the total fuelling amount, and controlling the fuel injection parameters according to the engine state, which, for example, can include a normal operation mode, a filter regeneration mode, an engine protection mode, high or low transient load modes, and operating at different altitudes, through algorithms implemented in an electronic controller.
