  • Publication number: 20100324457
Abstract: A system is disclosed that records position data for portions of a body as a function of time. The position data can be collected from one or more sensors secured to the body either individually or using a patch. The sensors, in some embodiments, can include stretch sensors that produce a change in electrical resistance as the stretch sensors are stretched. A data logger can be used to record the data. Various other elements such as a feedback mechanism or a manual pain indicator can also be included.

  • Publication number: 20070128875
Abstract: The present invention provides a means for releasing semiconductor, micromachined and/or Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) parts from a substrate. Semiconductor, micromachined or MEMS components built at the wafer level must be separated after fabrication. Through novel application of Deep Reactive Ion Etching (DRIE) or Bosch etching to etch through the substrate, full or partial separation is achieved. The formation of fine edges and ultra-linear sidewalls can be achieved, and no residues remain as a result of the process. Alternative embodiments of the present invention allow subsequent micromachining or other process steps to be accomplished, in bulk, to the bottom of the die. Other alternative embodiments involve fabrication of horizontal or vertical attachment webs or tabs between die by partial through-etching or by photo-resist patterning sections between the die prior to a dry-etch, leaving the webs or tabs.

  • Publication number: 20050132581
Abstract: A crystalline manufacture and process for creating the same are disclosed wherein an end surface is etched along an etch-resistant plane in the crystalline structure of substance in which the top and bottom surfaces have been sliced off-axis from the crystal plane at a specified angle. The end surface may form a blade edge of a blade if the end surface is etched all the way from the top surface to the bottom surface. This results in a linear blade edge wherein the angle between the blade edge and the bottom surface may be chosen by selecting the off-axis orientation of the crystalline substance from which the manufacture is created.
