  • Patent number: 7501140
Abstract: An apparatus and method for processing meat slabs into meat strips, particularly pork belly slabs into bacon strips. The apparatus includes a massager, a slab press station, a sleeve for holding the pressed slab, an oven or smokehouse, a blast chiller, a slab removable device and a spiral freezer. The method for processing the meat slab into meat strips includes massaging the slab, pressing the slabs and inserting the slabs into sleeves in the pressed condition. The sleeves are then transported to an oven for cooking and then a blast chiller. Once chilled, the slabs are removed from the sleeve and sliced to the appropriate thickness.

    Assignee: Challenge-RMF, Inc.
Inventors: Bruce M. Gould, Jeffrey K. Arnswald, Christopher O. Norman
  • Patent number: 7497522
Abstract: A pavement cutting tool wherein the pitch of the handles relative to the ground surface is relative to, and interlinked, to the pitch of the connected saw blade, so that as the saw blade is raised and/or lowered into the surface to be cut, the handles remain at a predetermined angle of attack (preferably generally horizontal). The pavement-cutting tool further using a limit switch to limit the depth of the cut.

  • Patent number: 5857453
Abstract: A precision slot cutting machine for concrete and asphalt pavement includes a self propelled unit with an operator's station and a blade platform is attached to the self propelled unit by a pair of pivot arms which allow the blade platform to freely pivot about an axis parallel to the path of travel of the self propelled unit. The blade platform is supported by a short based wheeled carriage with two independent wheel supporting bars, each of which is attached to the blade platform via a single pivot axis. The pivotal attachment between self propelled unit and blade platform and the independent pivoting action of the wheel supporting bars insure that variations which occur in the pavement surface both in directions parallel to and across the travel path of the machine are compensated for to allow precise cutting of slots of even depth into the pavement.

  • Patent number: 4333686
Abstract: A road surfacing machine for removing bumps from a roadway. A sub-frame supporting a cutter head is pivotally attached to a main frame and controllably urged downwardly into cutter head operable position. Walking beams supporting depth control wheels which ride in the surfacing cut are pivotally attached to the sub-frame. Outrigger depth control wheels are provided near the ends of the cutter head for feathering successive cuts.
