  • Patent number: 12624485
Abstract: A method is for a fill cycle calibration in a washing machine appliance. The method includes receiving an activation signal of a calibration cycle, and performing the calibration cycle. The calibration cycle includes initializing a fill sequence of the washing machine appliance, determining a supply connection orientation of a hot water supply hose and a cold water supply hose, measuring a volume of water from a hot water supply valve before reaching a predetermined temperature threshold, measuring flow rates of water from the hot water supply valve and a cold water supply valve, and updating operational parameters of the washing machine appliance.

  • Publication number: 20240360609
Abstract: A laundry appliance or method for the same may provide for or include detecting a load attribute for a load of articles at the laundry appliance. The method may also include initiating a laundry cycle at the laundry appliance for the load of articles. The method may further include directing a load signal corresponding to the detected load attribute to the secondary appliance and initiating a secondary operation at the secondary appliance in a predefined region based on the load signal during the laundry cycle.

  • Patent number: 12060670
Abstract: A washing machine appliance may include a cabinet, a tub, a wash basket, and a controller. The tub may be positioned within the cabinet. The tub may define a tub outlet and a tub inlet. The wash basket may be rotatably mounted within the tub. The wash basket may define a chamber for receipt of articles for washing. The controller may be mounted to the cabinet and configured to initiate a washing operation. The washing operation may include flowing a volume of liquid to the tub, initiating a spin phase requiring rotation of the wash basket following flowing the volume of liquid to the tub, determining an out-of-balance (OOB) state within the wash basket, determining a user OOB preference following determining the OOB state, and adjusting the spin phase according to the determined user OOB preference.

  • Patent number: 12000073
Abstract: A combination washer/dryer appliance may include a cabinet, a tub, a laundry basket, a heater, and a controller. The laundry basket may be rotatably mounted within the tub and define a chamber for receipt of articles for washing or drying. The controller may be operably coupled to the heater and configured to initiate a wash/dry operation. The wash/dry operation may include initiating a wash/dry operation for articles within the laundry basket. The wash/dry operation may include a wash cycle and a dry cycle. The wash/dry operation may further include determining completion of the wash cycle and directing a tumble cycle of the laundry basket in response to determining completion of the wash cycle. The wash/dry operation may still further include determining a user drying preference during the tumble cycle of the laundry basket and adjusting the wash/dry operation based on the determined user drying preference.
