Publication number: 20160114035Abstract: The present invention provides novel artificial oligopeptides capable of binding HLA Class II molecules encoded by several alleles. The oligopeptides include the sequence AX1FVAAX2TLX3AX4A (SEQ ID NO:1), wherein X1 is selected from the group consisting of W, F, Y, H, D, E, N, Q, I and K; X2 is selected from the group consisting of F, N, Y and W; X3 is selected from the group consisting of H and K, and X4 is selected from the group consisting of A, D and E, with the proviso that the oligopeptide sequence is not AKFVAAWTLKAAA. The invention also relates to larger peptides comprising the oligopeptides, polynucleotides encoding the oligopeptides and larger peptides, as well as to compositions comprising the oligopeptides, peptides or polynucleotides. Also disclosed are methods for inducing immune responses.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 22, 2015Publication date: April 28, 2016Applicant: Epimmune Inc.Inventors: Florence Dal Degan, Mark J. Publication number: 20080005081Abstract: In a distributed enterprise computing system, personal data repositories are created by individual users who generate classifiers that index the information for those repositories. Each generated classifier also specifies a target repository into which a copy of a resource that matches that classifier is placed. Users can submit classifiers that they created to other repositories. Later, when a user adds a resource to his personal repository, it is checked against all classifiers that have been created by the user and submitted to the repository by other users. If the new resource matches any classifier, a copy of the resource is sent to the repository specified in the classifier, where the resource is archived and indexed.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 28, 2006Publication date: January 3, 2008Applicant: Sun Microsystems, Inc.Inventors: Stephen J. Patent number: 6938039Abstract: A file system is migrated from a source file server to a target file server in a data network while permitting clients to have concurrent read/write access to the file system. The target file server issues directory read requests and file read requests to the source file server in accordance with a network file access protocol to transfer the file system from the source file server to the target file server. Concurrent with the transfer of the file system from the source file server to the target file server, the target file server responds to client read/write requests for access to the file system. In a preferred embodiment, the target file server maintains a hierarchy of on-line nodes off-line nodes. The online nodes represent file system objects that have been completely migrated, and the offline nodes representing file system objects that have not been completely migrated.Type: GrantFiled: June 30, 2000Date of Patent: August 30, 2005Assignee: EMC CorporationInventors: Paul M. Patent number: 6889292Abstract: Mechanisms and techniques disclose a system that provides access to data using a two part cache. The system receives a data access request containing a first data reference, such as an open systems request to access data. The system then obtains a history cache entry from a history cache based on the first data reference and obtains a partition cache entry from a partition cache based on the first data reference. Cache entries contain mappings between open systems reference locations and non-open systems references to locations in the data to be accessed. The system then performs a data access operation as specified by the data access request using a second data reference based upon either the history cache entry or the partition cache entry. Upon performance of the data access operation, the system then updates the history and partition caches with new cache entries and can resize the partition and history caches as needed.Type: GrantFiled: June 24, 2004Date of Patent: May 3, 2005Assignee: EMC CorporationInventors: Jeffrey L. Alexander, Paul M. Bober, Rui Liang

Patent number: 5736142Abstract: The present invention provides compositions and methods of inhibiting or inducing activation of T cells in a patient. The methods comprise administering a therapeutically effective dose of pharmaceutical compositions comprising a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier and peptides of between about 4 and about 20 residues, that bind antigen binding sites on MHC molecules encoded by substantially all alleles of a DR locus. These peptides are referred to as pan DR binding peptides. The pan DR binding peptides can be used to inhibit immune responses associated with immunopathologies, such as autoimmunity, allograft rejection and allergic responses. The peptides can also be used in combination with CTL peptides to enhance a CTL response.Type: GrantFiled: September 14, 1994Date of Patent: April 7, 1998Assignee: Cytel CorporationInventors: Alessandro Sette, Federico Gaeta, Howard M.
