  • Patent number: 6315170
Abstract: A dispensing device is adapted for release of a measured quantity of granular material. A base is generally disk-shaped. A stop is carried by an upper surface of the base, and is adjustably positionable so that when a container to be filled is moved into contact with the stop, that container is correctly positioned. A body is attached to a support ledge defined about the perimeter of the base. The body is generally cylindrical, and defines an interior cavity with access through a front opening and a circular top defining an off-center hole. A slide is supported by the top, and is manually movable between a loading position wherein a spring biasing the slide is stressed, and a dispensing position wherein the spring is relaxed. A slide enclosure is attached to the upper rim of the body portion. An input funnel provides a larger upper circular rim and a smaller lower circular rim which is concentric with the upper rim when viewed from the end.

  • Patent number: 6189742
Abstract: A dispensing device is adapted for one-handed operation, and for release of a measured quantity of granular material. A base is generally disk-shaped. A stop is carried by an upper surface of the base, and is adjustably positionable so that when a container to be filled is moved into contact with the stop, that container is correctly positioned. A body 40 is attached to a support ledge defined about the perimeter of the base. The body is generally cylindrical, and defines an interior cavity with access through a front opening and a circular top having an off-center hole. A slide is supported by the top, and is manually movable between a loading position wherein a spring arm biasing the slide is relaxed, and a dispensing position wherein the spring arm is stressed. A slide enclosure is attached to the upper rim of the body portion.

  • Patent number: 6119623
Abstract: A golf score keeping device is formed from a body 50 having interlocking front and back portions 100, 200. A preferred version of the front portion includes five slides, each slide defining a slide trough within which at least one slide indicator may travel. A similar back portion includes six slides having a total of four slide troughs. A slide channel between the slides of each body portion provides spaced teeth which are engaged by an arm extending from the slide indicator, thereby providing a distinct click as the slide indicator is moved a discrete distance. Slide indicators traveling in the slide trough of one portion 100, 200, extend through the slide channel of the other portion 200, 100. Left and right end covers 300, 400 secure the front and back portions, and protect the slide indicators from contact with a flat supporting surface.

  • Patent number: 5810198
Abstract: A motorized tablet dispenser provides a tablet hopper mechanism suitable for storage of an entire prescription of tablets. A disk-like loading plate is carried at the base of the tablet hopper, and provides radially arrayed tablet voids and a spur gear perimeter. The loading plate is rotated by means of a high torque, low speed, geared motor. Each major type, size and shape of tablet is associated with a loading plate having voids sized to fit that tablet, and any loading plate may be installed in a dispenser. An easily operated pushbutton mechanism translates linear motion along a vertical axis into angular motion about a horizontal axis of a tablet transfer mechanism. A single tablet is moved from the loading plate into a recess in the tablet transfer mechanism. The interface between the cylindrical surface on the tablet transfer mechanism and the planar loading plate prevents jamming.
