  • Patent number: 9751398
Abstract: A grounded fuel tank assembly includes a non-metallic fuel tank having a container and a hollow filler neck, a fuel cap with a hollow stem, and an electrically conductive insert member. The insert member includes a hollow sleeve which is received by the neck, an annular frusto-conical first ring which is joined to an end of the sleeve, and a second ring which extends away from the first ring and which at least partially surrounds a portion of the neck. The sleeve has internal and external sleeve threads formed thereon. The internal sleeve threads engages external cap threads, and the external sleeve threads engages internal neck threads. An electrically conductive ground strap is exterior to the container and engages the second ring. The insert includes tabs which engage the neck to prevent rotation of the insert.

  • Patent number: 9154973
Abstract: A method of testing a mobile phone maintenance channel is provided. The method comprises transmitting a plurality of mobile phone activation set-up messages to an open mobile alliance (OMA) platform, the OMA platform storing activation set-up information in a data store, and generating test activation request messages. The method further comprises transporting the activation request messages over a mobile phone maintenance channel, the OMA platform retrieving activation set-up information from the data store, the OMA platform transmitting activation response messages, the activation response messages comprising at least a portion of the mobile phone activation set-up information associated with the test activation request, transporting the activation response messages over the maintenance channel, and the computer, in response to receiving the activation response messages, determining a first test result based on comparing the plurality of activation request messages to the activation response messages.

  • Patent number: 8720195
Abstract: An exhaust assembly includes an exhaust pipe, a first venturi member at the inlet end of the pipe and a second venturi member at the outlet end of the pipe. A diffuser/mixer is mounted at the outlet end of the exhaust pipe. A shield pipe surrounds a portion of the exhaust pipe. A shield member is mounted to the shield pipe and covers a portion of the first venturi member. The first and second venturi members operate to combine ambient air with exhaust gases.

  • Publication number: 20130037158
Abstract: An engine exhaust assembly includes an inner pipe for connecting to an engine exhaust port. An outer pipe surrounds a portion of the inner pipe. The inner pipe and the upstream end of the outer pipe form an opening therebetween for receiving air from the environment. An annular cap fills a gap between the inner pipe and the downstream end of the outer pipe. A vent is formed in the inner pipe inside and adjacent to the downstream end of the outer pipe. The flow of exhaust through the inner pipe causes air from the environment to flow into the opening between the inner pipe and outer pipe, through the space between the pipes and into the inner pipe through the vent. The downstream end of the inner pipe projects or extends beyond the downstream end of the outer pipe.

  • Patent number: 6923134
Abstract: A hinge assembly for mounting to a jet propelled personal watercraft including a hinge and a wire bundle assembly. The hinge can include a hinge top portion for mounting to the personal watercraft hood pivotally coupled to a hinge bottom portion for mounting to the top deck. The hinge bottom portion can have a wireway aperture therethrough. The wire bundle assembly can include several wires disposed within a tube, in turn disposed within a seal formed about the tube. The tube seal can be at least partially received within the hinge bottom portion aperture. The tube seal is preferably forced downward by the hinge bottom portion against the top deck. The wire bundle assembly can be formed as an assembly at a site distinct from the site of final watercraft manufacture. The wire bundle assembly can be inserted through the top deck, and secured in place by the hinge being secured to the top deck, over the inserted wire bundle assembly.
