  • Patent number: 9078325
Abstract: A method and apparatus for generating a pulse width modulated voltage that has a duty cycle that is inversely proportional to a sensed battery voltage and using the generated pulse width modulated voltage to control a light emitting diode to maintain the intensity of light emitted as the battery voltage fluctuates.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 15, 2013
Date of Patent: July 7, 2015
    Assignee: TRW AUTOMOTIVE U.S. LLC

  • Patent number: 6078252
Abstract: A vehicle switching system includes a transmitter generating signals based upon activation of one of a plurality of switches. Switches mounted on vehicle components in the vehicle are each associated with a predetermined vehicle function. A receiver in the vehicle receives the signal from the transmitter and activates the predetermined vehicle function.

  • Patent number: 5764010
Abstract: A control system for an automotive vehicle multi-functional apparatus employs an electronic control unit operably controlling a rear window wiper assembly. In another aspect of the present invention, an electronic control unit is operable as a multiplexed rear node for controlling a variety of liftgate devices and functions. In a further aspect of the present invention, an electronic control unit controls a single multi-functional electromagnetic device. The multi-functional electromagnetic device uses intermittent motion mechanisms to selectively operate differing devices driven therefrom. A method of operating the electronic control unit of the present invention is also provided.

  • Patent number: 5745045
Abstract: An optical anti-theft system incorporates a member having a plurality of reflective surfaces. The plurality forms a pattern corresponding with the security code. The system additionally incorporates a base for receiving the member. The base incorporates a light source for generating a light beam to illuminate the plurality of reflective surfaces, and a light detector for sensing the illuminated plurality of reflective surfaces and for initiating a security function in response to the sensed illuminated plurality of reflective surfaces having the pattern.
