  • Patent number: 10347403
Abstract: An elbow arrester with a T-body is disclosed capable of coupling with an apparatus for protection from transient over voltage, and coupling with additional cable accessories, without having to loosen the initial connection with the coupled apparatus. The elbow body of the T-body arrester has a first portion, and a second portion protruding from an intermediate section of the first portion to define a T-body. A receiving feature is located within the first portion extending towards a first end, while a male feature is coupled to a second end of the first portion, opposite from the receiving feature. A coupling fastener is integrally molded into the first portion, providing for an apparatus coupled to the coupling fastener to be decoupled without loosening the connection of another apparatus connected to the T-Body elbow. Further, decoupling the other apparatus does not loosen the apparatus coupled to the coupling fastener.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: July 9, 2019
Inventors: Glenn J. Luzzi, Jeffrey L. Madden
  • Patent number: 10256620
Abstract: A splice for use in high voltage electrical environment is disclosed employing a combination of cold-shrink and an interference fit in a single splice component, thereby allowing for the use of a shortened core at a first cold splice end and the absence of a cable adapter at the interference fit at the second end.

  • Patent number: 9455524
Abstract: A self-supported jacket seal designed for a cable connector so that after a cable is inserted into the cable connector, the integrated jacket seal protects any exposed portion of the cable without requiring any additional installation steps. The self-supported feature is provided by a plurality of rigid ridges positioned on the outer surface of the jacket seal. The ridges strengthen the construction of the component so that the jacket seal substantially maintains its shape when a cable is slidably inserted therewithin. Because the seal does not buckle when installed, it does not require any additional installation steps as found in other similar inventions known in the art.
