  • Publication number: 20250056920
Abstract: The present disclosure provides devices and methods for repairing dice during micro-LED display fabrication. The devices include a backplane. The backplane has a plurality of backplane electrodes. Each backplane electrode includes a first material. A plurality of micro-LEDs having a plurality of micro-LED electrodes is included in the device. Each micro-LED electrode includes a second material. Each micro-LED electrode is bonded to each backplane electrode with an alloy of the first material and the second material therebetween. At least one backplane electrode is bonded to the micro-LED electrode via a repair material. The device includes a plurality of subpixel isolation (SI) structures formed over the backplane. The SI structures define wells of sub-pixels. Each well includes a respective micro-LED between adjacent SI structures. The sub-pixels have a color conversion material disposed in the wells.

  • Publication number: 20040262813
Abstract: Systems and methods for injection molding polymeric materials are provided. The systems and methods use a supercritical fluid additive. In some cases, the use of supercritical fluid additive enables formation of molded articles with low clamping forces and/or low injection pressures. Low clamping forces and/or low injection pressures may reduce the cost of a system designed to form a particular molded article. In some embodiments, the systems may include a control system that controls the operation of one or more components of the system (e.g., the extruder or the supercritical fluid additive introduction system). The systems and methods are suitable for forming polymeric foam articles including microcellular material articles.

  • Patent number: 6616434
Abstract: The invention provides a blowing agent metering system and method for use in polymeric foam processing. The system may be used to control the rate of introduction of blowing agent into polymeric material in a processing apparatus to form a mixture having the desired blowing agent weight percentage. The metering system includes a restriction orifice which is positioned in a pathway between a blowing agent source and a blowing agent port within a foam processing apparatus. The metering system measures the pressure differential as blowing agent flows across the restriction orifice from the source to the port and may also measure the temperature of the blowing agent at one or more locations. Using a pre-determined relationship between the flow rate, the orifice dimensions (e.g., length, diameter) and the measured variables (e.g.

  • Publication number: 20020147245
Abstract: A method and apparatus for controlling foam processing. The method includes acts of receiving a first input indicative of an amount of a polymeric material to be provided to a polymer processing space of a polymer processing apparatus, and automatically determining an amount of a blowing agent to be provided to the polymer processing space to form a foamed product based upon the amount of polymeric material. Additional acts may include automatically configuring a blowing agent delivery system to provide the determined amount of the blowing agent to the polymer processing space to form the foamed product. The method and apparatus may be used to produce microcellular foamed products as well as non-microcellular foamed products, and can be used with a variety of foam processing equipment, such as injection molders, blow molders, and extruders.
