  • Publication number: 20190030897
Abstract: A jetting-module cleaning system for cleaning the nozzle plate of a jetting module includes a non-rotating shaft and a rotating wiper mechanism. The non-rotating shaft includes one or more outlet openings extending from its hollow core to its outer surface. The rotating wiper mechanism includes a rotating sleeve having one or more openings extending from its hollow core to its outer surface, and one or more wiper blades. The rotating wiper mechanism rotates around the non-rotating shaft. A pressurized fluid source supplies pressurized cleaning fluid to the hollow core of the non-rotating shaft. An actuator rotates the rotating wiper mechanism around its axis. Cleaning fluid is sprayed onto the nozzle plate through the one or more outlet openings in the non-rotating shaft when the openings in the rotating sleeve are aligned with the outlet openings in the non-rotating shaft.

  • Publication number: 20180135298
Abstract: A method of reducing propagation of cracks in concrete includes placing at least one curved panel in an area into which concrete is to be poured such that a bottom surface of the at least one curved panel directly contacts a first surface of the area. The method further includes pouring the concrete onto the first surface of the area such that the concrete directly contacts a concave surface and a convex surface of the at least one curved panel. The concave surface and the convex surface project in a direction that is substantially perpendicular to the bottom surface. The method further includes ceasing to pour the concrete when substantially an entirety of the convex surface and substantially an entirety of the concave surface of the at least one curved panel are in direct contact with the concrete.

  • Patent number: 9969178
Abstract: An inkjet printhead assembly includes a repositionable shutter mechanism adapted to block a slot through which drops of ink ejected from the array of nozzles pass before they impinge on the print medium. The shutter mechanism includes a repositionable shutter blade extending in a cross-track direction having a pivot axis passing through first and second tabs affixed to its ends. A first slide mechanism component is pivotably attached to an end of an actuator rod, and a second slide mechanism component is rigidly attached to the repositionable shutter blade. An actuator is configured to translate the actuator rod, thereby pivoting the repositionable shutter blade about the pivot axis between a first pivot position where the shutter blade blocks the slot and a second pivot position where the shutter blade is moved away from the slot so that drops of ink can pass through the slot.

  • Patent number: 9915064
Abstract: An apparatus for reducing propagation of cracks in concrete includes a curved panel. The curved panel includes a convex surface and a concave surface facing away from one another and separated by a thickness. Each of the convex and concave surfaces has a top edge, a bottom edge, a first end, and a second end. Each of the convex and concave surfaces is configured to be arranged in direct contact with the concrete. The curved panel further includes a top surface extending between the top edges of the convex and concave surfaces. The top surface is substantially planar and substantially perpendicular to the convex and concave surfaces. The curved panel further includes a bottom surface extending between the bottom edges of the convex and concave surfaces. The bottom surface is substantially planar and substantially parallel to the top surface.

  • Patent number: 9566798
Abstract: An inkjet printhead assembly includes a repositionable shutter mechanism adapted to block a slot through which drops of ink ejected from the array of nozzles pass before they impinge on the print medium. The shutter mechanism includes a frame, and a repositionable shutter blade extending in a cross-track direction having first and second tabs affixed to its ends. At least one of the first and second tabs includes a lever arm. The shutter blade is adapted to rotate around a pivot axis passing through the first and second tabs. An actuator is configured to apply a force to the lever arm, thereby pivoting the repositionable shutter blade about the pivot axis between a first pivot position where the shutter blade blocks the slot and a second pivot position where the shutter blade is moved away from the slot so that drops of ink can pass through the slot.

  • Patent number: 7506489
Abstract: Method of packaging an arrangement of containers including producing containers on first and second manufacturing lines. The first and second manufacturing lines produce containers with first and second sets of depictions associated with a common theme using first and second series of color combinations, respectively. The first and second series of color combinations include first and second pluralities of colors wherein the first plurality of colors is different than the second plurality of colors. The containers from the first and second manufacturing lines are accumulated at a common location, where containers including depictions from the first manufacturing line with the first series of color combinations and containers including depictions from the second manufacturing line with the second series of color combinations are selected to form a group of containers that is packaged for commercial distribution.
