  • Patent number: 5500934
Abstract: A display and control system utilizes graphics for providing a clear, concise and intuitive interface between the user and a complex system. Icons are utilized for selectively representing components of the complex system, the components having a configurable relationship with one another. The display and control system further utilizes a predefined array defining locations for the icons to be positioned. In a first embodiment, the interface may be utilized in a network for assisting the user to configure the network and for providing real-time monitoring of the network at the interconnect device. In a second embodiment, a display and control system utilizes graphics for providing a clear, concise interface between the user and a workstation for configuring a file for use with an application software program in accordance with the hardware installed in the server workstation. Each embodiment utilizes a predefined array defining locations for the icons to be positioned.

  • Patent number: 5436567
Abstract: A two-sided probe and clamshell fixture embodiment of the present invention comprises a vacuum-actuated bed-of-nails for probing the bottom side of a printed circuit board (PCB) device-under-test (DUT) and a pushrod-actuated bed-of-nails for probing the top side of the printed circuit board device-under-test. The fixture comprises a base, a bottom frame, and a bottom plate that are sealed for vacuum actuation by a gasket. When in place, the DUT completes the vacuum seal and the bottom bed-of-nails which includes a patterned array of spring loaded probe pins reaches through the bottom plate to contact probe points on the DUT. A set of push rods attached to the base push out through the bottom frame and operate a set of gear boxes attached to the outer edges of a top plate within a top frame.

  • Patent number: 5121703
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a clear view hard curtain which is comprised of a plurality of separable frames, each frame including at least one semi-rigid clear, flat panel, and a flexible frame surrounding the panel. Each of a plurality of frames may be attachable to a vehicle to thereby form an enclosure protecting the interior of the vehicle from external natural elements. Finally, the enclosure may be maintained during operation of the vehicle with the flexible framing member absorbing shock to the semi-rigid panels which may be caused by the movement of the vehicle. Preferably, the clear view hard curtain may be utilized as a protective enclosure for the bridge of a boat.

  • Patent number: 5028197
Abstract: A liner installation device includes a liner (16) for being disposed in a container (10). A manifold (24) is operable to be disposed at the peripheral opening of the container (10) and be connected to a vacuum source (22) through a hose (26). A retaining member (34) comprised of a retaining bracket (36) and a securing bar (38) operable to be disposed in the container (10). The retaining bracket (36) is disposed along the upper corners of the container (10). The liner (16) is then laid into the bottom of the container (10). After the liner (16) is disposed in the container (10), the peripheral edges thereof are held against the peripheral edges of the container (10). A vacuum is pulled on the spacer between the interior surfaces of the container (10) and the exterior surfaces of the liner (16).
