  • Publication number: 20240408597
Abstract: An instrument includes a reagent management system. The reagent management system includes a plurality of reagent wells, each reagent well operable to contain a reagent of a plurality of reagents positioned therein. The reagent management system is operable to select a flow of reagent from one of the plurality of reagents. A flexible connection includes a laminate stack and includes a first flexible channel in fluid communication with the reagent management system. The first flexible channel is operable to route the flow of reagent therethrough. A flow cell includes a flow channel in fluid communication with the first flexible channel. The flow channel is operable to route the flow of reagent over analytes positioned in the flow channel. The flexible connection enables the flow cell to be moved by the instrument relative to a fixed reference point in the instrument.

  • Publication number: 20240361148
Abstract: Systems and methods for vehicle-based determination of HD map update information. Sensor-equipped vehicles may determine locations of various detected objects relative to the vehicles. Vehicles may also determine the location of reference objects relative to the vehicles, where the location of the reference objects in an absolute coordinate system is also known. The absolute coordinates of various detected objects may then be determined from the absolute position of the reference objects and the locations of other objects relative to the reference objects. Newly-determined absolute locations of detected objects may then be transmitted to HD map services for updating.

  • Publication number: 20230366698
Abstract: An end-to-end system for data generation, map creation using the generated data, and localization to the created map is disclosed. Mapstreams—or streams of sensor data, perception outputs from deep neural networks (DNNs), and/or relative trajectory data—corresponding to any number of drives by any number of vehicles may be generated and uploaded to the cloud. The mapstreams may be used to generate map data—and ultimately a fused high definition (HD) map—that represents data generated over a plurality of drives. When localizing to the fused HD map, individual localization results may be generated based on comparisons of real-time data from a sensor modality to map data corresponding to the same sensor modality. This process may be repeated for any number of sensor modalities and the results may be fused together to determine a final fused localization result.

  • Patent number: 7369769
Abstract: An Ethernet passive optical network (EPON) ring for providing protection against fiber failures. The optical network unit (ONU) is coupled to the ring fiber by a three-port passive optical splitting module that has three two-way optical passages. By the three two-way optical passages, the OUN receives/transmits data from/to the two ends of the optical line termination (OLT) to provide protection while the fiber failure. Moreover, it provides better authorization of users and simpler collision detection by the two-way transmission of the three-port passive optical splitting module to prevent hackers from invading and to reduce collisions.

  • Patent number: 7334733
Abstract: This invention discloses a data card that has a plurality of data arcs and also a linear data track, e.g., a magnetic or optical data strip, disposed on a flat data storage medium. The data card may be employed as a credit card or ID card with conventional magnetic strip for storing conventional data operable with conventional card reader. The data arc segments may be employed to store additional information for authenticating cardholder's personal biometrics information to prevent credit card or ID card frauds. In one embodiment, the data tracks further include at least one full circle data track provided with data for conveniently determining a central position of the data card in a data drive system. The data stored in the full circle data track can also be conveniently used to obtain a measurement of average signal amplitude to calibrate the signal measurements from the data card. The dynamic head loading and unloading configuration and a card insertion lock.

  • Patent number: 7336569
Abstract: The invention pertains to an improvement for a tracking and focusing servo and defect management circuit that controls the tracking and focusing of an optical head on an optical media in an apparatus for reproducing a data, sound or image recorded on the optical media. The invention characterizes by the provision of a circuit for managing modulation of an RF signal from the optical pickup head caused when the optical pickup head encounters a non-continuous track in segment arrangement or a very long extended defect such as a extended flaw in the disc resulted discontinuous track segment thereon, and an adjusting circuit which manages the loop gain of the tracking servo circuit per the track arrangement of defect detection and a tracking profile, whereby the responsiveness of the optical pickup head is improved and track skipping prevented or recovered.
