Publication number: 20240130880Abstract: Methods and systems for delivering a tubular implant to a target location in a body lumen, wherein the tubular implant has a delivery length when in a radially collapsed, delivery configuration, and a foreshortened length shorter than the delivery length when in a radially expanded, implanted configuration. Respective markers are provided on a delivery catheter and on the tubular implant which provide a visual indication of the landing location of a foreshortened length of a last proximal portion of the tubular implant prior to implanting the last proximal portion. This allows the clinician to determine if the landing location of the last proximal portion is clinically desirable prior to fully implanting the tubular implant.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 13, 2023Publication date: April 25, 2024Applicants: STRYKER CORPORATION, STRYKER EUROPEAN OPERATIONS LIMITEDInventors: Siddharth Loganathan, Beth Oldford, Jeffrey Lu, Rajan Chandrasekaran

Patent number: 11959945Abstract: Embodiments are presented herein of an open-loop test system for testing vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers (VCSELs). A high-speed pulse generator may be used to produce nanoseconds pulses provided to the VCSEL device. A high-speed oscilloscope may be used to measure the resultant nanoseconds pulses across the VCSEL device. The VCSEL device voltage and VCSEL device current may be obtained from the measured nanosecond pulses according to compensation data derived from the system. A pre-test compensation procedure may be used to obtain the compensation data, which may include representative characteristics of each system component.Type: GrantFiled: November 26, 2020Date of Patent: April 16, 2024Assignee: National Instruments CorporationInventors: Jun Lu, John George Banaska, Matthew Tate Dougan, Jeffrey Allan Cornell, Wendi Song, Xuechen Han, Kunal Harsad Patel

Publication number: 20240112755Abstract: The present invention generally relates to systems and methods for imaging or determining nucleic acids or other desired targets, for instance, within cells or tissues. In one aspect, a sample is exposed to a plurality of nucleic acid probes that are determined within the sample. In some cases, however, background fluorescence or off-target binding may make it more difficult to determine properly bound nucleic acid probes. Accordingly, other components of the samples that may be contributing to the background, such as proteins, lipids, and/or other non-targets, may be “cleared” from the sample to improve determination. However, in certain embodiments, nucleic acids or other desired targets may be prevented from also being cleared, e.g., using polymers or gels within the sample. Other aspects are generally directed to compositions or kits involving such systems, methods of using such systems, or the like.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 1, 2023Publication date: April 4, 2024Applicant: President and Fellows of Harvard CollegeInventors: Xiaowei Zhuang, Jeffrey R. Patent number: 11920945Abstract: A computer-implemented method for providing landmark-assisted navigation guidance by selectively utilizing database information includes receiving navigation requests from one or more mobile computing devices, each of the requests being associated with a respective starting point, destination, and travel mode. For each navigation request, a corresponding route to be depicted in a corresponding digital map is determined. For each navigation request associated with a first travel mode, corresponding points of interest (POIs) are determined from among a plurality of POIs stored in a database. The corresponding POIs are determined based at least on whether the corresponding POIs are associated with any landmark category. For each navigation request associated with a second travel mode, corresponding POIs are determined irrespective of whether the corresponding POIs are associated with any landmark categories.Type: GrantFiled: February 4, 2022Date of Patent: March 5, 2024Assignee: GOOGLE LLCInventors: John Payyappillil John, Jeffrey Albertson, Natalie O'Connell Williams, Amanda Bishop, Justin Joseph Thorsen, Jiexi Lu

Publication number: 20240009011Abstract: An implantable metallic braid is formed out of groups of filaments of a first material, groups of filaments of a second material different from the first material, and groups of filaments of a third material different from the first material and the second material. The filaments are braided together by a braiding machine and are arranged in a starting filament arrangement on the braiding machine before braiding begins, wherein the first material is a radiopaque material, the second material is a support material, and the third material is a DFT comprising the first and second materials. Different arrangements of the filaments in the starting filament arrangement and in the braid result in different levels of detail that can be observed in images of the braid, wherein certain arrangements of the filaments result in enhanced radiopacity without affecting other mechanical properties of the braid.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 21, 2023Publication date: January 11, 2024Applicants: STRYKER CORPORATION, STRYKER EUROPEAN OPERATIONS LIMITEDInventor: Jeffrey Lu

Patent number: 9937254Abstract: Water-soluble supramolecular complexes formed from a water soluble block copolymer and at least one associative gelling adjuvant. The copolymer includes at least two blocks of polyethylene oxide and at least one block of polypropylene oxide. The adjuvant has a water solubility less than 0.5 g/100 ml at 20° C. When combined with water, the complexes form a transparent reversely thermo-reversible hydrogel or solution that may be repeatedly hydrated and dehydrated. The hydrogel exhibits improved gelling efficiency and enhanced solubility and/or stability for sparely soluble and insoluble pharmaceutical agents. The complexes are useful in a variety of pharmaceutical and cosmetic products and applications and may be combined with an effective amount of a cosmetic, medicament, or diagnostic in a solid dosage form.Type: GrantFiled: January 17, 2017Date of Patent: April 10, 2018Assignee: Broda Technologies Co., Ltd.Inventors: Shao Xiang Lu, Jeffrey Lu, Letian Liu
