Abstract: A personal exercise device on which an exerciser may slide back and forth. The exercise device includes a sliding mat as well as first and second end pieces. Each end of the mat defines a series of apertures. Each of the end pieces include a plurality of bosses and posts, which engage the apertures of the mat. Such assemblies prevent the mat from ripping away from the end pieces while an exerciser uses the mat and pushes against the end assemblies with her feet.

Abstract: A novel exercise apparatus is disclosed as having first and second levers rotatably connected by a pivot means with resilient means for providing a restorative force against which pressure is applied being coupled to the first and second levers. The novel exercise apparatus further has cover means for housing the pivot means which is adapted to allow pivoting of the first and second levers and limit means for defining a relaxed position of the exercise apparatus with the limit means being interactive with and limiting movement of the first and second levers.

Abstract: An improved toy ski pole is disclosed. The improvement includes a grip assembly permitting replacement of the restraining strap, if torn or damaged, and basket assembly for securing a pair of ski poles together. The grip assembly locks the restraining strap to the hand grip and ski pole.

Abstract: A shoe device, such as a toy snow shoe, and a method of attaching a single continuous strap to a shoe member are disclosed. The shoe device includes a shoe member and a strap to a shoe member, attached in accordance with the method, so as to define a pair of retaining loops. By adjusting the size of the loops, the shoe device may be easily secured to a foot or conventional shoe.

Abstract: The improved device disclosed herein is designed to permit both left and right handed golfers to practice their golf swings in a relatively restricted or confined area. The improved golf practice device includes a base having an upright center post. The base is adapted to be secured to the ground by a plurality of unique pegs and by a unique center pin whose upper end is disposed within a cavity formed in the center post. A curved arm is mounted, at one end, on the center post so that the arm may rotate about the center post in a horizontal plane spaced above the plane of the base. A golf-ball-like ball is attached to the other end of the arm and is adapted to be struck by a golf club swung by a golfer using the practice device. In order to accommodate both left and right handed golfers, the direction in which the ball faces can be changed by removing the arm from the center post, rotating the arm 180.degree. about its longitudinal axis, and then returning the arm to the center post.
