Abstract: Some embodiments provide a credibility system that computes credibility scores to quantify the credibility of different businesses and to coalesce the generated credibility scores into various indices. The indices comparatively present the credibility of a particular business relative to other businesses along one or more dimensions. Based on the indices, the system identifies trends in the credibility of a particular business. The system derives preliminary credibility for a new business for which credibility data has not yet been obtained based on credibility that has been previously established for other businesses in an index associated with the new business. The system provides automated services for monitoring credibility of a business and for generating alerts to notify the business that its credibility has reached various thresholds. The system identifies business practices that improve upon or adversely affect the credibility of a particular business.

Abstract: Methods and systems for providing information to geographically proximate client are disclosed. One method includes: receiving an instruction to associate a geographic location with a web page; in response to the instruction, associating the location with the web page; associating content with the location; and when a mobile device comes into proximity to the location, sending the content to a recipient determined by previously stored contact information. One system includes means for receiving an instruction to associate a geographic location with a web page, and means for, in response to the instruction, associating the geographic location with the web page. The system further includes means for associating content with the geographic location and means for detecting a mobile device in proximity with the geographic location. The system further includes means, responsive to the means for detecting, for sending the content to a recipient determined by previously stored contact information.

Abstract: The invention provides, inter alia, front ends to a database search engine or engines, that process a user query to generate a new search request that will more effectively retrieve information from the database that is relevant to the query of the user. To this end, in one embodiment the systems can be realized as computer programs present to a user interface to a user and which prompt the user to enter one or more key phrases that are representative of a user search request or user query. The user interface can collect the key phrases provided by the user and can analyze these key phrases to identify at least one meaning that can be associated with this user query. The systems can then process the user query and the identified meaning to generate an expanded search request that can be represented as a boolean search strategy.
