  • Patent number: 11025779
Abstract: An electronic computing device establishes a communication session between a lender of a loan and a recipient of the loan. A debt owed to the lender by the recipient is tracked. Upon an initial communication between the lender and the recipient, a debt reminder is displayed on a display screen of the electronic computing device. The debt reminder provides a reminder to the lender that the debt is owed to the lender by the recipient.

  • Patent number: 7477274
Abstract: A thermally sensitive medium includes at least one layer of temperature-activated dye, and antenna molecules disposed in the layer of temperature-activated dye for converting radiant energy into thermal energy. A system for forming an image on a thermally sensitive medium includes a radiant energy source for selectively heating portions of the thermally sensitive medium to activate temperature-activated dyes of the medium. A method of forming an image on a thermally sensitive medium having multiple layers of temperature-activated dyes is performed by selectively heating portions of each of the layers of temperature-activated dyes with a light source to form the image.

  • Patent number: 7333126
Abstract: For at least some layers of a number of stacked layers of an optical disc that correspond to different colors, an optical beam is selectively impinged on a region of the optical disc. The optical beam has a wavelength to which the layer is uniquely sensitive as compared to other of the layers, to sufficiently heat the layer so as to cause the region to change from at least substantially translucent to a color to which the layer corresponds.

  • Patent number: 7129503
Abstract: Determining a beam size of an emitter for a data storage medium is disclosed. The emitter, having an emitted beam, is moved across conductor of a detector. Current through the conductor, resulting from the emitted beam as the emitter moves across the detector, is measured. The size of the emitted beam of the emitter is determined based on the position of the emitter and the measured current.

  • Patent number: 6866354
Abstract: In one embodiment, a disk shape determining and labeling system includes a first module configured to determine a shape of a non-round disk. A second module determines an orientation of the non-round disk. The labeling system then applies a visible pattern to the disk, wherein the labeling is performed according to the shape and the orientation of the non-round disk.

  • Publication number: 20040172548
Abstract: A method of one embodiment of the invention is disclosed that optically reads a marking on a label region of an optical disc, to determine access to information stored on a data region of the optical disc. Access to the information stored on the data region of the optical disc is then permitted based on the marking on the label region of the optical disc that has been optically read.

  • Publication number: 20040081669
Abstract: A pharmaceutical supply method is provided which includes receiving a request to charge a delivery appliance with a requested pharmaceutical, producing a first electronic pharmaceutical identifier which identifies the requested pharmaceutical, reading an identification tag associated with an actual pharmaceutical to produce a second electronic pharmaceutical identifier which identifies the actual pharmaceutical, and comparing the first electronic pharmaceutical identifier with the second electronic pharmaceutical identifier. Where the first electronic pharmaceutical identifier matches the second electronic pharmaceutical identifier, the delivery appliance may be charged with the actual pharmaceutical.
