The method of making the scouring web comprises providing a plurality of metal fibers and a plurality of polymeric fibers, combining the metal fibers with the polymeric fibers, heating the polymeric fibers so that at least a portion of the polymeric fibers melt, and cooling the polymeric fibers to solidify the portion of the polymeric fibers that melted and to secure the blend of metal fibers and polymeric fibers together.
