  • Publication number: 20060116876
Abstract: Method and system are provided for performing random confirmation in a speech system. When a speech recognition result is received with an associated confidence score indicating a level of confidence with respect to the speech recognition result, a confirmation decision is made in terms of whether a confirmation is to be carried out based on the confidence score. The confirmation decision may be made in a random confirmation mode. A confirmation may be performed when the confirmation decision is to carry out a confirmation on the speech recognition result.

  • Publication number: 20050187561
Abstract: The present invention comprises systems, methods and devices for the delivery of compositions for occluding or of means for opening conduits. The implantable occlusive material may be delivered pre-formed or in situ cured and, may be a resorbable material that supports tissue ingrowth that eventually replaces the material leaving little or no original material in place. The delivery system is positioned to allow for placement of the occlusive material into the body conduit. Use of delivery systems, methods and devices for re-opening an occluded body conduit are also included.

  • Patent number: 5036754
Abstract: An exhaust system for fume extraction from a work area such as the vicinity of a welding gun is provided, having an articulted exhaust duct with a fume hood mounted at the forward end thereof. A signal emitter is mounted on the work tool, and three sensors are mounted on the fume hood, one at the front and one at each side so as to form a triangle. One motor is provided at the joint between the front and rear portions of the articulated exhaust duct, and two further motors are provided at the rear end of the exhaust duct. The first motor opens and closes the angle between the front and rear portions of the exhaust duct, and the second motor moves the rear portion of the exhaust duct backward and forward in the same vertical plane as that in which the front and rear portions of the exhaust duct move under the influence of the first motor. The third motor turns the entire assembly in an arc.
