  • Publication number: 20230344388
Abstract: This application relates to methods and apparatus for power limiting for amplifiers. An amplifier is configured to receive an input supply voltage and to draw, in use, an amplifier input current resulting in an amplifier input power. A power limiter is configured to monitor an indication of the amplifier input power, determine a first signal limit based on said indication of the amplifier input power and a pre-set limit and apply regulation to the input signal to provide a regulated input signal for input to the amplifier that does not exceed the first signal limit.

  • Patent number: 11738996
Abstract: Systems and methods for generating power using hydrogen fuel, such as derived from natural gas, are provided. Feed materials are introduced into a compact hydrogen generator to produce carbon dioxide, hydrogen gas and steam. Sorbent material within the compact hydrogen generator acts to absorb carbon dioxide, forming a used sorbent. Hydrogen gas and steam are separated from the used sorbent and passed to a power generator such as a hydrogen turbine to produce power. The used sorbent is introduced into a calciner and heated to desorb carbon dioxide and form a regenerated sorbent which can be recycled to the compact hydrogen generator.

  • Patent number: 11102583
Abstract: An audio power output circuit provides a pair of output signals to an audio output transducer that has two different voice coils. Using a measured or predicted position of the voice coil assembly with respect to the transducer's magnetic field, a processing circuit generates the pair of signals such that a first relationship between a first one of the pair of output signals and an audio input signal and a second relationship between a second one of the pair of the output signals vary with the position of the voice coil. Offset in the Dynamic Mean Position (DMP) can be compensated for without adding low frequency or direct current components that compromise the dynamic range of the transducer. The efficiency, acoustic output power and/or linearity of the acoustic output of the transducer may be optimized by tailoring the first and second relationship to a particular target performance.

  • Patent number: 11057727
Abstract: An audio or haptic power output system manages and delivers power to multiple output transducers based on corresponding power or current limits that are adjusted dynamically according to measures of power or current that are required to generate power output signals from corresponding digital input values or signals. A power management subsystem controls electrical power or current consumed by power output stages that supply power to the transducers by comparing the measures of power or current required to generate the power output signals to the corresponding power or current limits, and limiting the power or current consumed by the individual power output stages measures of power or current exceeds the corresponding limits.
