  • Patent number: 11081781
Abstract: Various arrangements of a connection system are presented. The system can include radio cable ports. Each radio cable port may be communicatively connected with a different antenna of an antenna system. Each radio cable port may be keyed different such that only a particular keyed cable assembly can be mated with the radio cable port. The system can also include antenna cable ports. Each antenna cable port can be configured to be communicatively connected with a different radio of a radio system. Each antenna cable port may be keyed different such that only a particular keyed cable assembly can be mated with the antenna cable port. Each radio cable port is keyed in a same pattern as an antenna cable port with which the radio cable port is intended to be communicatively connected.

  • Patent number: 10057407
Abstract: Various arrangements for restricting mobile device usage are presented. A mobile device may collect movement and location sensor data. An in-vehicle mobile device usage profile may be created based on the sensor data and the collected user interaction data. The in-vehicle mobile device usage profile may be analyzed to determine that a user of the mobile device is currently an operator of the moving vehicle. In response to determining that the user of the mobile device is currently the operator of the moving vehicle, access to one or more functions of the mobile device may be restricted.

  • Patent number: 9854086
Abstract: Various arrangements for restricting mobile device usage are presented. A mobile device may collect movement and location sensor data. The mobile device may determine it is being operated within a moving vehicle based on the sensor data. The mobile device may use interaction data indicative of a user's interactions with the mobile device while the mobile device is being operated within the operating vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20170339067
Abstract: Various embodiments of systems, apparatus, and/or methods are described for restricting user devices from accessing a communication network. In one implementation, multiple user devices are assigned to a user profile. At least one access parameter is designated for the user profile. An access device monitors data usage, time usage, and content usage of each of the devices associated with the user profile. In some examples, the access device may consolidate the data usage and time usage of all of the devices. If one or more of the consolidated data usage, consolidated time usage, or content usage violates the access parameter of the user profile, the access device restricts at least one of the multiple user devices from accessing the communication network.

  • Patent number: 9043838
Abstract: Video thumbnail electronic program guide (EPG) systems and methods are operable to include a video thumbnail. An exemplary embodiment receives a media content stream at a media device; picks a plurality of still image video frames from the received media content stream, wherein each still image video frame has information that is sufficient to construct the still image video frame; generate a plurality of still image video frame thumbnails, wherein each of the still image video frame thumbnails correspond to one of the still image video frames; generate a video thumbnail from the plurality of still image video frame thumbnails; and incorporate the video thumbnail with at least one program descriptor and a channel identifier associated with the media content stream into the video thumbnail EPG.

  • Patent number: 8909474
Abstract: In connection with a navigation system, a method of providing routing information to a user includes receiving user location information associated with a residence of the user, determining a socioeconomic routing preference based on a socioeconomic status associated with the user location information, and calculating a route between a start location and an end location based on the socioeconomic routing preference. Route guidance is then provided to the user based on the calculated route.

  • Patent number: 8844000
Abstract: A media content delivery system and method is operable to communicate an authorized single media content stream generated by a local programming provider (LPP) in a domestic market area (DMA) to a client facility, wherein the authorized single media content stream is multiplexed into a multi-media content stream with a plurality of other single media content streams generated by a plurality of other LPPS in the DMA. An exemplary embodiment identifies an authorized single media content stream of interest to a client; accesses the multi-media content stream communicated from a communication network at the client facility, unbundles the authorized single media content stream from the received multi-media content stream, and communicates the authorized single media content stream to a program content generation system operated by the client.
