  • Patent number: 11750164
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for controlling rail-voltages for amplifier output stages. In some examples, a method may include receiving sets of data values (e.g., at a power-supply control circuitry) for control of a rail voltage of an amplifier output stage. The method may also include determining that the receipt of a pending set of data values has been interrupted. Then, upon the determination that the receipt of the pending plurality of data values has been interrupted, the method may include decreasing the rail voltage to a non-boosted rail-voltage level.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 17, 2020
Date of Patent: September 5, 2023
    Assignee: Harman International Industries, Incorporated
Inventors: Jeffrey Michael Brockmole, Matthew Ryan Parnell
  • Patent number: 11523238
Abstract: A system and method for creating natural spatial variations in an audio output. At least one parameter in a set of mixer tuning parameters is dynamically modified over time and within a predetermined range that is defined by a set of modification control parameters. The set of mixer tuning parameters that includes the at least one dynamically modified parameter is applied to a mixer allowing the mixer to create natural spatial variations in the audio output to be played at one or more loudspeakers.

  • Patent number: 11137896
Abstract: In at least one embodiment, a system is provided that includes a user interface, a plurality of proximity sensors, and at least one controller. The user interface is configured to enable selection of one or more operations for a vehicle. The plurality of proximity sensors is positioned about or within the user interface and is configured to transmit first signals indicative of a location of a user relative to the user interface as the user selects the one or more operations for the vehicle with the user interface. The at least one controller is configured to determine the location of the user relative to the user interface in response to the first signals and to transmit a vehicle control signal to a vehicle subsystem to perform the one or more operations based on the location of the user relative to the user interface.

  • Patent number: 10057705
Abstract: Audio processing method is described to continuously process an audio signal while changing between audio modes so that the listener does not experience a discontinuous sound during the transition. The first audio signal can be combined with the second audio signal to produce a smooth, continuous output signal that changes to only having the second audio signal over a time period. A global gain can be reduced during the transition from the first audio mode to a subsequent audio mode. Differences in the parameters from the first mode to the second mode can be determined and the parameters that differ are stepped from an initial value to a subsequent value over a transition time to produce a smooth audio signal.

  • Patent number: 9781535
Abstract: An audio processor may receive audio input channels including stereo channels and one or more surround channels. The audio processor may downmix the audio input channels into stereo output channels; developing the stereo output channels into upmixed audio channels including at least one additional surround channel not present in the audio input channels; delay the audio input channels into delayed audio channels that are time-aligned with the upmixed audio channels; and mix the delayed audio channels and the upmixed audio channels into audio output channels.
