  • Publication number: 20090031787
Abstract: A system and method for gathering diagnostic information relating to an operating condition of a gas stream or processing path of a coal gasification system is disclosed. The information is gathered by deploying one or more specially constructed modules or seeds that proceed through the gas stream of the coal gasification system as part of the mass flow of the gas stream. The seed may be physically recoverable in which an outer material of the seed ablates when exposed to a predetermined temperature of the gas stream. The seed may be physically non-recoverable in which electronic circuitry transmits a signal to a receiver relating to the temperature of the gas stream.

  • Publication number: 20090010874
Abstract: This invention relates to modified IL-4 mutein receptor antagonists comprising an IL-4 mutein receptor antagonist coupled to polyethylene glycol. Related formulations and dosages and methods of administration thereof for therapeutic purposes are also provided. These modified IL-4 mutein receptor antagonists, compositions and methods provide a treatment option for those individuals afflicted with a respiratory disorder such as asthma by inhibiting IL-4 and IL-13-mediated airway hyperresponsiveness and eosinophilia. More particularly, these antagonists have an increased duration of effect versus unmodified IL-4RA by virtue of a greater plasma half-life.

  • Patent number: 7474022
Abstract: A liquid-cooled armature bar end fitting-to-strand brazed connection. The end fitting is comprised of a main body and a cover, and defines a cavity, a bottom wall of which is defined in part by the cover. An armature winding bar strand package including solid strands and hollow strands arranged in a tiered array extends into the end fitting so that at least the free ends of the hollow strands extend beyond the bottom wall, into the cavity. The side wall of the cavity is spaced from the hollow strands. A braze alloy joins the strands to each other and to the end fitting. The braze alloy forms an isolation layer over the free ends of the solid strands and over the said bottom wall of the cavity to a depth above a horizontal junction between the main body and the cover.

  • Publication number: 20080296441
Abstract: A rail break or rail vehicle detection system which includes a voltage source, capable of voltage source compensation, is coupled to each of a plurality of zones within a block of rail track devoid of insulated joints. A plurality of current sensors are provided, each coupled to a respective voltage source and configured to measure current flowing through the sensor in response to changing voltage patterns. Each current sensor is further configured in one embodiment to determine and compare signatures based on current measurements to a predetermined decision surface to detect the presence of a rail vehicle or rail break on a predetermined block of track. The voltage source or current sensor can be adapted to control voltage levels and polarity of each voltage source. A method of communicating the presence or absence of a rail break or rail vehicle employs an in-rail TDMA communication scheme to synchronize, test and communicate directly between the sensors without use of external controllers.

  • Publication number: 20080263078
Abstract: Programmers typically like operating with databases through use of classes. Classes allow a user to function with a database through use of a non-database programming language. To ease use of the classes, a class context is generated at runtime that does not force a programmer to handle various source files that are a product of class generation. Therefore, the user can have the ease of using classes without having to perform extra actions.

  • Publication number: 20080263531
Abstract: Binding can automatically take place between controls and information sources at runtime. This minimizes an amount of code that is to be generated by a user and thus can lower errors from the code. In addition, some wizards that allow binding without code writing can become problematic since some information is not available at runtime (e.g., when the wizard operates prior to runtime.) Relevant information is received and at least one binding is created based off received information.
