Publication number: 20140112342Abstract: In one embodiment, an apparatus cascades groups of serialized data streams through devices, and performs operations based on information communicated therein. A received group of serialized data streams is aligned, but not framed, and forwarded to a next device (e.g., a next stage in a linear or tree cascaded formation of devices). Eliminating the framing and subsequent serialization operations performed on the received group of serialized data streams reduces the latency of communications through the cascaded devices, which can be significant when considered in relation to the high-speed communication rates. The received group of serialized data streams is also framed to create a sequence of data frames for processing (e.g., associative memory lookup operations, controlling multiplexing of received downstream serialized data streams, general or other processing) within the device.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 24, 2012Publication date: April 24, 2014Inventors: John W. Marshall, Steven Philip Holmes, Jeffrey Nelson Shaw, Michael E. Lipman, Matthew Harper, Mohammed Ismael Tatar, James A. Markevitch

Patent number: 8587261Abstract: An apparatus for charging multiple rechargeable devices is disclosed. The apparatus includes a hub or multiple T-connectors connected between a power source, preferably a Zinc-air battery, and several chargers, the hub/T-connectors configured to provide electrical and mechanical connectivity between the power source and the chargers. The apparatus includes housings configured to encase the chargers and to conformally receive each of the corresponding devices containing rechargeable batteries. Patent number: 8579856Abstract: The delivery systems of the present disclosure are configurable to administer either single-dose or multiple-doses of one or more substances to a user, for example to the eye, nose, mouth, ear or rectum of the user. The precise and repeatable dosing features of the presently disclosed delivery systems overcome many of the disadvantages associated with known methods for dispensing substances to, for example, the eye of a user. The delivery systems administer precise doses of a substance to a precise location from unit dosage forms that may be single-dose or multiple-dose unit dosage forms, which may be externally or internally pierced.Type: GrantFiled: August 5, 2010Date of Patent: November 12, 2013Assignee: Mystic Pharmaceuticals, Inc.Inventors: Timothy R. Publication number: 20130158474Abstract: Intranasal delivery devices include dosage forms containing medical compositions for use in the intranasal devices, and methods of delivering medical compositions to the nasal mucosa of users. The devices dispense a predetermined quantity of fluid into the nasal passage of a user, in which the predetermined quantity of fluid is contained in, or produced in a dosage form or blister that is crushed by a plunger with sufficient force to drive the dosage form against a piercing mechanism, piercing the dosage form and forcing the liquid contents from the dosage form and through a delivery channel into a spray to be directed into the nasal passage of a user. The plunger is connected to a trigger device by a linkage that confers a mechanical advantage to the trigger mechanism.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 19, 2013Publication date: June 20, 2013Applicant: Mystic Pharmaceuticals, Inc.Inventors: Timothy R. Patent number: 8381272Abstract: The present invention relates to systems and methods for securing web-based transactions. A system for securing web-based transactions includes a credential strengthener coupled to a client browser. The client browser communicates with a web server in a web-transaction. The credential strengthener converts a web credential entered by a user at the client browser to a higher entropy web credential associated with the user. The client browser then returns the higher entropy web credential for further use in the web transaction. A method for securing a web-based transaction includes steps of converting a web credential entered by a user at a client browser to a higher entropy web credential associated with the user, and returning the higher entropy web credential to the web server to continue the web transaction.Type: GrantFiled: February 21, 2007Date of Patent: February 19, 2013Assignee: Google Inc.Inventors: Jeffrey Nelson, David Jeske

Patent number: 8272194Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to processes for manufacturing internally pierced shaped articles for unit-dose packaging with at least one formed recess (e.g., a blister), in particular for unit-dose packaging of pharmaceutical dosage forms. In certain embodiments, the first step of the process is directed to drawing the film material (e.g., metal-plastic foil) with one or more plungers to form a primary contour, the contour having a depth of at least 100% and up to 150% of the depth of the formed recess. The second stage involves shaping the primary contour with one or more plunger(s) to the desired formed recess, with a depth that is less than the depth of the primary contour, while substantially maintaining the surface area of the primary contour formed in the first stage. The formed recess may be formed using warm-forming or cold-forming techniques. The third stage involves the automatic placing of an internal piercing device stably into the shaped article.Type: GrantFiled: June 3, 2011Date of Patent: September 25, 2012Assignee: Mystic Pharmaceuticals, Inc.Inventor: Jeffrey Nelson
