  • Patent number: 12128985
Abstract: Example bicycle suspension components and control devices are described herein. An example shock absorber includes a damper body defining a first chamber and a reservoir defining a second chamber. A flow path is defined between the first chamber and the second chamber. The example shock absorber also includes a flow control member disposed in the flow path and a motor to operate the flow control member to affect fluid flow between the first chamber and the second chamber.

  • Patent number: 12105011
Abstract: A sensor system is installed adjacent to the buried or submerged metallic pipelines using a plurality of sensors and transceivers. The sensor system monitors the pipeline for external corrosion control and recommends maintenance and repair at specific locations in the pipeline where external corrosion has occurred. The sensor system automatically receives periodic or continuous measurements through the plurality of sensors. The various sensors at various locations adjacent to the pipelines detect irregularities in the received sensor data at specific locations of the pipeline. The sensor data are stored in the system database and can analyzed to be used for monitoring and for transmitting repair alerts. The sensor system according to the present disclosure provides a reliable and an accurate assessment of the external corrosions of the pipelines. The sensor system further obviates the need of personnel walking along the pipelines to detect corrosion.

  • Publication number: 20220050697
Abstract: Whether testing intrusion detection systems, conducting training exercises, or creating data sets to be used by the broader cybersecurity community, realistic user behavior is a desirable component of a cyber-range. Existing methods either rely on network level data or replay recorded user actions to approximate real users in a network. Probabilistic models can be fit to actual user data (sequences of application usage) collected from endpoints. Once trained to the user's behavioral data, these models can generate novel sequences of actions from the same distribution as the training data. These sequences of actions can be fed to emulator software via configuration files, which replicate those behaviors on end devices. The models are platform agnostic and can generate behavior data for any emulation software package. In some embodiments a latent variable is added to faithfully capture and leverage time-of-day trends.

  • Patent number: 10685118
Abstract: A system and method (referred to as the system) detects malware, viruses, and/or malicious activity by generating a direct current source power consumption profile by causing a monitored device to execute a fully automated recurrent software operation. The system receives by an automated detection system, the direct current source power consumption profile generated by an intelligent power sensor and generates by a detection engine, a power security profile that identifies suspicious code by profiling direct current consumed by monitored type devices. The system executes a detection engine remote from the monitored device that identifies an infected device.

  • Publication number: 20070235349
Abstract: A carrying case 10 in the size of a credit card is disclosed. The carrying case 10 has a front panel 12 and a rear panel 14 when overlappingly joined has a size of about 86 mm (3.4 inches) or less in length by about 54 mm (2.1 inches) or less in width. This carrying case 10 is substantially therefore the same size as specified for a credit card, but can be up to two to three times thicker or about 9.0 mm or less, preferably the device is about the same thickness as a conventional credit card which is 3.0 mm or less. Medications 20 or breath fresheners are disposed between the two panels, preferably in flat sheets 22.

  • Patent number: 5120194
Abstract: A hydraulic/pneumatic turbine transmission (10) for converting a pressurized fluid source (26) to rotary motion of variable torque and rpm is disclosed. Turbine transmission (10) generally has housing (12) including main body housing (12a) and front housing cover plate (12b). An output shaft (11) is rotatably secured within housing (12) and has a main turbine runner (16) radially attached thereto. Main turbine runner (16) includes a plurality of concentrically disposed subrunners of progressively smaller diameter. A pair of diametrically disposed variable position nozzles are provided and disposed within housing (12) to selectively supply pressurized fluid to any one of the plurality of subrunners. A plurality of arcuate scavenge ports (33) are provided within housing (12) to allow a pressurized fluid to exit subsequent to impact on main turbine runner (16). Variable position nozzles (23) can be independently controlled to produce 2x-1 output speeds, where x is equal to the number or subrunners.
