  • Publication number: 20050023719
Abstract: The present invention is drawn to a solid freeform fabrication system for producing a three-dimensional object. The system can include a dispensing system and a curing system. The dispensing system can be adapted to separately dispense build material and support material, wherein the build material and the support material are adapted to contact one another at an interface after being dispensed. The curing system can be adapted to harden the build material after being dispensed but before the support material is dispensed, wherein mixing between the build material and the support material is inhibited at the interface.

  • Publication number: 20050015171
Abstract: A method of producing an object through solid freeform fabrication includes selectively depositing a boundary structure that defines a surface of the object, and depositing a flowable build material within the boundary structure, wherein the flowable build material forms a portion of the object by flowing to the boundary structure.

  • Publication number: 20040159978
Abstract: A method of producing an object through solid freeform fabrication includes varying a concentration of ejected material applied to form a particular object layer.

  • Publication number: 20040135276
Abstract: A method of producing an object through solid freeform fabrication preferably includes ejecting drops of different volumes to form a layer of the object. The drops may be binder drops ejected into a build material or may include the build material used to form the object.

  • Publication number: 20040084814
Abstract: A three-dimensional object fabricator with an unbound powder removal system is disclosed. The object fabricator forms an object by binding regions of unbound powder in a chamber having the unbound powder removal system operably secured thereto. Unbound powder is removed from the chamber by the unbound powder removal system.
