The lid may cover the electrical device aperture of the base unit when the lid is closed over the base unit.

    Abstract: A weatherproof toggle switch cover adapter assembly comprises a cover plate adapted for placement over a toggle switch and coupling with an electrical junction box. A lever rotationally pivotably coupled with the cover plate is in mechanical communication with the toggle switch through a yoke. When the lever is moved to an on position, the toggle switch also moves to an on position. The yoke comprises two opposing tines defining a yoke spanning gap having a perimeter edge, the yoke spanning gap sized to straddle the toggle switch. An adapter ring comprising an external perimeter edge and an internal perimeter edge is interposed between the yoke and the toggle switch. The external perimeter edge is in communication with the perimeter edge of the yoke. The internal perimeter edge is inside two opposing tines and is disposed about an adapter spanning gap sized to straddle the toggle switch.

    Abstract: A safety outlet comprises an electrical outlet having both hot and neutral plug blade apertures each with respective output contacts and input contacts associated. A safety tab is disposed adjacent each of the respective output contacts and the input contacts and is positionable between a disengaged position and an engaged position. In the engaged position, the output contacts and the input contacts of the respective plug blade apertures are electrically isolated from each other. In the disengaged position, the output contacts and the input contacts of each of the respective plug blade apertures are in electrically conductive contact to complete a respective hot plug blade circuit and a respective neutral plug blade circuit to activate the respective hot and neutral plug blade apertures. The safety tabs are operatively responsive to move to its disengaged position when a plug blade is positioned within the respective aperture.

The cord port may be a downwardly opening cord port or a rearwardly opening cord port. The device may also include a tab for opening and closing the device, a biasing mechanism for biasing the device closed, and a seam. Also disclosed is a method of protecting an electrical outlet using the split lid while-in-use electrical device cover.

First and second arms extend from the bracket. The first and second arms each include an attachment wall extending from a front edge of the bracket and a support wall extending from the bracket behind the attachment wall. The attachment wall includes an electrical box mounting aperture therethrough. The bracket is configured for attachment to an adjacent electrical device mounting box by aligning the electrical box mounting apertures of the first and second arms with electrical box mounting apertures of the adjacent electrical device box. In addition, a gap between the attachment walls of the first and second arms is larger than an outer wall height of the adjacent electrical device mounting box.

    Abstract: An outdoor swivel head spotlight is described. A light bulb hood comprises a reflector and base. The base comprises a spherical socket having an internal seat. A support arm comprising a spherical end and a distal end connected to the spherical end by a through conduit is provided. The spherical end is seated in the internal seat. An internally threaded nut comprising an inwardly projecting lip having an open interior diameter at least as large as the external diameter of the spherical end, is coupled with the spherical socket. A washer between the spherical end and the lip of the nut is provided. When the nut is in a loosened position, the hood may be positioned to a desired angular position and when the nut is in a tightened position, the washer presses the spherical end into the internal seat to fix the angular position of the light hood.
