  • Patent number: 6836995
Abstract: A fishing rod having a motorized vibrator secured to a floating rod blank. The rod blank is substantially displaced from the bore of a handle. A ferrule switch mounted to a suspended portion of the handle contains a battery power source that is manipulated as a switch contact. A vibrator includes a motor and eccentric weight and is supported to the rod blank forward of the handle and responsively vibrates the rod blank for controlled periods and/or frequencies and a supported fishing line and lure.

  • Patent number: 6476853
Abstract: A modular, submersible video viewing system. The system includes a viewing monitor, camera and interconnecting multi-conductor cable that store at a portable housing and deploy for underwater viewing. Webs at the camera housing interconnect to cable clips, bottom support plates, a swivel coupler or steering guide and/or pole to control camera orientation when towed or during stationary or pole directed viewing. Alternative rudders and/or hydrodynamic ballast weights (with or without a keel) mount to the webs to control camera tracking. A multi-aperture reflection suppressor and etched lens mount to the camera and cooperate with a series of LED's to direct light relative to the viewing field of the camera lens. Various sunshields, lights and/or lenses and filters are optionally mountable to the monitor housing or camera. Alternative monitor housings are disclosed that contain the viewing monitor, battery and attendant control circuitry and camera.

  • Patent number: 6301822
Abstract: Fishing lures and assemblies that include magnets having pole faces mounted to an axial support to normally repel each other. Lure movement induces axial movement of the magnets and cooperating lure pieces to induce contact and separation and thereby audible sounds. Rattle chambers and/or sound enhancing structures can be provided to amplify created sounds. Magnets of differing shapes are disclosed that are arranged in different lure constructions (e.g. snelled assemblies, crank baits, spoon baits, wire form baits—bottom bouncers and spinner baits, jig lures and bell weights).

  • Patent number: 6097424
Abstract: A modular submersible video viewing system. The system includes a viewing monitor, multi-conductor cable and camera that store at a portable housing and deploy for underwater viewing. The camera can be submersed for stationary viewing, towed from a watercraft or manipulated with an operator pole. The camera can be secured with clips or bottom support plates in various orientations or be secured to a swivel coupler and steering guide and/or pole. A rudder, ballast weight (with or without a keel), lens' sunshield, lights and/or lenses and filters are optionally mountable to the camera. In one portable assembly, a cable spool mounts to a carry case that stores the system components. In another portable assembly, the viewing monitor, battery and attendant control circuitry are mounted in a monitor housing having an integral sunshield. A handle and a pair of cable wrap arms contain the cable. A recess at the monitor housing supports the camera.

  • Patent number: 4985808
Abstract: A printed circuit or printed wire board has a resistor network thereon, wired through conductors that are arranged so that individual circuit paths for different resistor combinations pass onto one of a plurality of peripheral tabs on the printed circuit board. The tabs are joined to the main portion of the circuit board through a frangible connection which permits breaking off the tabs. The main circuit into which the board is to be connected is tested to determine the needed circuit characteristics, and all but one of the tabs on the board are removed to provide the required circuit connections for matching the printed wire board circuit to the main circuit. The breakaway tabs permit selecting a particular circuit impedance so that the board is matched to the main circuit in which it is connected. The board is primarily used for compensation of a communications network where the loop loss of a telephone system is set to the right value.
