  • Patent number: 12119634
Abstract: A clamp for suspending a wire includes a housing having an inner support surface. The wire is disposed between the inner support surface and a keeper. The clamp further includes a fastening unit, including a first fastener and a second fastener attachable to the first fastener. The housing defines an opening extending in a direction along which the wire is received within the housing. After the second fastener is attached to the first fastener, the fastening unit is not removable from the housing. The fastening unit is movable, within the opening, between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the fastening unit cooperates with the keeper to decrease a distance between the inner support surface and the keeper. In the second position, the fastening unit does not cooperate with the keeper to decrease the distance.

  • Publication number: 20240186782
Abstract: A clamp for suspending a wire is provided. The clamp includes a base having a support surface that defines a first boundary of a wire receiving region. The clamp includes a keeper having an elastomer lining that defines a second boundary of the wire receiving region. The clamp includes means for providing force to at least one of the keeper or the base such that, when the wire is in the receiving region, the elastomer lining is pressed against the wire to provide a static retaining force, as a function of the force, on the wire to retain the wire relative to the clamp and permits sliding of the wire relative to the clamp when a pulling force on the wire exceeds the static retaining force and remains within a designed slip force range.

  • Patent number: 11905015
Abstract: An unmanned aerial vehicle for mounting a clamp to a line includes a body, a first propeller attached to the body, a second propeller attached to the body, and a third propeller attached to the body. The body is between at least one of the first propeller and the second propeller, the first propeller and the third propeller, or the second propeller and the third propeller. A guide is attached to the body and is configured to support the clamp for mounting to the line by flying the unmanned aerial vehicle toward the line. The guide is configured to support the clamp such that an imaginary clamp line between a first jaw of the clamp and a second jaw of the clamp when the clamp is in an arrested position is non-parallel to a plane intersecting the first propeller, the second propeller, and the third propeller.

Abstract: A heat response monitor, comprises an accelerometer, a core temperature sensor, an estimation device, and an enabler. The estimation device uses accelerometry-based functionality to provide a gait-based heat stroke risk score, and the estimation device uses an estimated core temperature of a wearer of the core temperature sensor, to provide an estimated core temperature-based heat stroke risk score. The gait-based heat stroke risk score and the estimated core temperature-based heat stroke risk score are used to determine if a wearer of the heat response monitor is in risk of heat injury.
