Abstract: Described are systems and methods for dynamically generating advertisements for presentation in an application executing on a user device, such as an application executing on a smart phone or tablet of a user. An ad server system provides various ad templates, each of which include one or more tokens at different locations within the ad templates. The same token may be included in multiple different ad templates at the same of different locations. Based on user profile and/or conditions at the time of ad presentation, an appropriate template is selected and used to dynamically generate the ad.

Abstract: Methods and systems are described for collecting response data, such as electroencephalography data, functional magnetic resonance imaging data, galvanic skin response data, heart rate data, body temperature data, eye tracking data, face tracking data, head tracking data, etc., as users receive a presentation of digital content and then utilizing that response data to dynamically produce or revise other digital content, such as advertisements, to elicit a specific user response and an expected engagement with the digital content, such as the advertisement.

Abstract: A safety interlock system for a flow control apparatus is disclosed that permits operation when a magnet-less administration feeding set is properly mounted to recess formed along the housing of the flow control apparatus. The administration feeding set comprises flexible patient tubing having a support member at one end and a mounting member including a magnetically-susceptible metallic component at the other end thereof. A sensing arrangement is provided by the flow control apparatus for sensing the proper engagement of the metallic component to the recess of the flow control apparatus. A control means permits operation of the flow control apparatus when the metallic member is properly engaged to recess, while terminating operation when the metallic member is improperly engaged to recess.

Abstract: A method of treating an article of clothing can include the steps of disposing a portion of embroidery on the article of clothing and abrading the portion of embroidery. The article of clothing itself can also be abraded. The portion of embroidery can be abraded before and/or after the embroidery portion is disposed on the article of clothing. The portion of embroidery can be disposed on the article of clothing by way of one or more needles to directly embroider on the article of clothing, or a patch can be directly embroidered, and then the patch can be attached to the article of clothing, or a fabric can be embroidered and attached to the garment, or the fabric itself can be made directly into a garment. The abrading can be accomplished by rubbing with a brush, rubbing with sandpaper, sand blasting, and/or chemical means.

The thermometer may view body tissue directly or may have a tip that rapidly heats to equilibrium with the body tissue temperature. The tip is viewed by the infrared sensor. A probe cover having a metallized tip for indirectly measuring temperature is also disclosed.

Abstract: An apparatus for selectively enabling power including a power supply, and a device having a controller and an input activated by a user. The controller is selectively powered by the power supply. While the device is in a sleep state, a sensing circuit senses activation of the input by the user and enables the power supply to provide power to the controller in response to the sensed activation of the input by the user. A latch circuit causes the power supply to continue to provide power to the controller. The controller is responsive to the sensed activation of the input by the user for enabling the latch circuit and for disabling the latch circuit, thereby reentering the device into a sleep state.

Abstract: A system for imaging of a sample is disclosed. The system includes a plurality of detectors which are each focussed at a respective focal plane in a sample volume. The system also includes light selection optics positioned between the plurality of detectors and the sample volume. The light selection optics transmit to the detectors a portion of light originating at the respective focal planes while screening out light which originates from outside of the respective focal planes.

Abstract: An adjustable conveyor bed that is adjustable in length to span a gap between two devices of a conveyor system includes a primary section and a secondary section that is extendable and retractable relative to the primary section. The primary section has opposite primary sidewalls and a plurality of primary rollers mounted thereto. The primary rollers include a primary motorized roller and a plurality of primary idler rollers interconnected with one another via a plurality of drive members. The secondary section has opposite secondary sidewalls, with the secondary section sidewalls being nestedly received within the primary sidewalls and being adjustably mounted to the primary sidewalls and extendable and retractable relative to the primary sidewalls to adjust a length of the adjustable conveyor bed. The quality control checks may identify inaccurate weather parameters or be used to rank weather data sets. The quality control checks include hourly, daily, and forecast quality control checks performed upon hourly, daily, and forecast weather parameter data. The method and system may exclude the inaccurate weather parameters identified from a reasonable weather database. The method and system may determine reasonable or approximate weather parameters that approximate the actual weather parameters. The system may rank a plurality of weather data sets based upon the accuracy determination. The reasonable weather data or the weather data ranked as the most accurate may be used to calculate energy or cost savings for building energy conservation measures.

Abstract: A system and method of assembling an application for processing image or image-derived data is disclosed. The system includes a base operator configured to interface with one or more derivative operator classes, each operator class including an operator object for executing a processing function on the image or image-derived data. A base multiport node class is provided, which is configured to provide a multiport node for each operator object. The multiport nodes instantiates a pluggable operator for connecting the multiport nodes together at runtime according to user-defined parameters. The connection of multiport nodes implements the processing functions of the operator objects to execute the application.

Abstract: This cord locking system is designed to fasten two plug ends together preventing the plugs to come apart. The product is made with nylon straps for strength, and hook and loop material to fasten. New concepts for this invention would include, but are not limited to, flexable materials, non-breakable by blunt force, self adjusting to fit any two sizes of electrical cords at once, and a locking strength that exceeds 100 lbs of stress. The concept of this product, along with the materials used are unique to the industry.
