  • Publication number: 20240131894
Abstract: A reefer truck power unit employs a plurality of power sources including roof mounted solar panels, momentum generation, shore power and high capacity storage batteries. The refrigeration system is configured for refrigerating a payload area of the vehicle utilizing power from the power sources, and employs a voltage converter for augmenting the power from the propulsion vehicle source for use with a native vehicle charging//starting system, and a transport load transformer for converting power from the power sources to 3 phase power for powering the refrigeration system. A bank of batteries stores power from the sources for subsequent dispersal to the refrigeration unit.

  • Publication number: 20220136950
Abstract: In certain embodiments, a portable atmospheric monitor comprises a housing at least partially enclosing an inner chamber. The housing comprises an inlet and an aperture. The monitor also includes at least one light sensor arranged within the housing. The light sensor that senses one or more wavelengths of sunlight received via the aperture. The monitor includes at least one light-scattering sensor that senses PM received via the inlet. The monitor includes a processor arranged within the housing and coupled to the at least one light sensor and the at least one light-scattering sensor. The processor is configured to: receive a light signal from the at least one light sensor; receive a PM signal from the at least one light-scattering sensor; determine the aerosol optical depth based upon the light signal; and determine the PM concentration based upon the PM signal.

  • Publication number: 20090123784
Abstract: The invention relates to the design and manufacturing of a symmetrical polymer electrolyte fuel cell (the cell module) having two cells arranged in mirror symmetry with respect to a central plane of a non conductive fuel manifold. The symmetrical dual cell configuration allows application of adhesive seals for the innermost fuel electrodes. These seals are formed by gluing two membrane electrode assemblies to the opposing faces of the central manifold. The cell module employed as an array of individual modules, or combined into planar or stacked fuel cell configurations.

  • Publication number: 20090086025
Abstract: A remote surveillance system (the system) of the present invention is designed to have a long independent operation, portability, and wireless transmission of digital data from any location worldwide. The system includes a hybrid power element having novel hydrogen storage and generation device, light weight polymer electrolyte membrane (PEM) fuel cell, and the low power and low weight electronics. The system also includes multiple day/night cameras, motion detector, global positioning system (GPS), and wireless module. The system is packed in a back pack case and is easily carried between multiple locations due to low weight and compacts size.
