Patent number: 12292737Abstract: Techniques are described for developing and using applications and skills with autonomous vehicles. In some embodiments, a development platform is provided that enables access to a developer console for developing software modules for use with autonomous vehicles. For example, a developer can specify instructions for causing an autonomous vehicle to perform one or more operations. To control the behavior of an autonomous vehicle, the instructions can cause an executing computer system at the autonomous vehicle to generate calls to an application programming interface (API) associated with an autonomous navigation system of autonomous vehicle. Such calls to the API can be configured to adjust parameters of a behavioral objective associated with a trajectory generation process performed by the autonomous navigation system that controls the behavior of the autonomous vehicle. The instructions specified by the developer can be packaged as a software module that can be deployed for use at autonomous vehicle.Type: GrantFiled: November 27, 2023Date of Patent: May 6, 2025Assignee: Skydio, Inc.Inventors: Roshan Neel Jobanputra, Jeffrey Robert DeCew, Matthew Joseph Donahoe, Mark Edward Rubin, Adam Parker Bry, Abraham Galton Bachrach, Jack Louis Zhu, Kristen Marie Holtz

Publication number: 20250033153Abstract: Described herein are examples of material removal machines with work tables separated by an air gap. In some examples. the air gap may provide space for a material removal tool of the material removal machine to extend between and substantially below the work tables to effect a deep cut on a workpiece that extends across the air gap. In some examples. a table actuator may be configured to move the work tables in tandem, allowing for the work tables and/or work piece to be moved to the material removal tool, rather than vice versa. Efficient design of the work tables and material removal machine ensures that the air gap between the work tables remains unobstructed all the way to a floor of the material removal machine. and ensures that the space underneath the work tables is sufficient for fluid/debris drainage and operator access.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 10, 2021Publication date: January 30, 2025Inventors: Calvin States Nelson, Timothy Patrick Weber, Ruibin Zhang, Jeffrey Robert Smith, Roland Schaefer

Publication number: 20240420680Abstract: Implementations relate to a multimodal translation application that can provide an abridged version of a translation through an audio interface of a computing device, while simultaneously providing a verbatim textual translation at a display interface of the computing device. The application can provide these different versions of the translation in certain circumstances when, for example, the rate of speech of a person speaking to a user is relatively high compared to a preferred rate of speech of the user. For example, a comparison between phonemes of an original language speech and a translated language speech can be performed to determine whether the ratio satisfies a threshold for providing an audible abridged translation. A determination to provide the abridged translation can additionally or alternatively be based on a determined language of the speaker.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 19, 2023Publication date: December 19, 2024Inventors: Te I, Chris Kau, Jeffrey Robert Pitman, Robert Eric Genter, Qi Ge, Wolfgang Macherey, Dirk Ryan Padfield, Naveen Arivazhagan, Colin Cherry

Patent number: 12084343Abstract: A N2O decomposition reactor and a method of its use to produce an effluent suitable for use in an ignition device or in the main fuel injection system in high speed aircraft. N2O decomposition is an exothermic reaction and produces a high temperature product containing high concentrations of O2. Combination of fuel with this effluent ignites quickly and is an effective ignition source for the aircraft combustor. Reactor performance is adjusted to meet the conditions required for a selected application by changing the relative concentrations of CO2 and N2O, modifying the reactor length, and varying the quantity of catalyst in the reactor. For use in a pilot ignition device, the desired effluent temperature is between 500° C. and 1200° C. in order to ignite and combust the fuel within the design residence time, between 0.5 and 10 ms. For application as a barbotage gas generator in a fuel injection system, the temperature of the effluent can range from 300° C. up to 800° C.Type: GrantFiled: February 8, 2022Date of Patent: September 10, 2024Assignee: Reaction Systems, Inc.Inventors: Bradley Dean Hitch, Jeffrey Robert Engel, David Thomas Wickham
