Abstract: Methods and systems for investing in financial instruments are disclosed. For each of a plurality of financial instruments, a net asset value pertaining to a company associated with the financial instrument and an expected return on investment for one or more of an asset acquisition, an asset disposition, an asset development, a capital investment and a debt reduction may be determined. The net asset value for the company may be adjusted based on at least the expected return on investment. A discount percentage for the financial instrument may then be determined based at least in part on the adjusted net asset value. The financial instruments may be ranked based on the discount percentage for each financial instrument.
