A mobile payment may be programmatically initialized when at least two mobile devices come into NFC communications range. A payment card associated with an account used to fund the currency transfer may be tapped to one or more of the devices to allow a server to validate the currency transfer.

Abstract: A system and method are disclosed that leverage multi-factor authentication features of a service provider and intelligent call routing to increase security and efficiency at a customer call center. Pre-authentication of customer support requests reduces the potential for misappropriation of sensitive customer data during call handling. A contactless card uniquely associated with a client may provide a second factor of authentication via a backchannel to reduce the potential for malicious third-party impersonation of the client prior to transfer of the call to the customer call center. Pre-authorized customer support calls may be intelligently and efficiently routed directly to call center agents, without incurring further delay. During call handling, call center agents may initiate further client authentication processes, including contactless card authentication requests, over one or more different communication channels for authorizing access to sensitive information or to allay suspicion.

Abstract: Various embodiments are directed to dynamically and temporarily adjusting power to an NFC reader of a computing device from a first power level to a second power level based on a feedback mechanism between a contactless card and the computing device. The contactless card may provide a message containing a checksum. The computing device may receive the message and calculate a checksum based on the received message. By comparing these two checksums, it may be determined whether the entire message has been correctly received. If not, the power to the NFC reader may be temporarily increased to allow better communication between the contactless card and the computing device.

An application executing on a device may receive a cryptogram from a contactless card associated with an account. The application may transmit the cryptogram to a server. The application may receive, based on the cryptogram, configuration information for a plurality of applications associated with the account. Abstract: A contactless card useful for adjusting the operation, configuration, and/or performance of a secondary device is described. The contactless card is equipped with a communication interface which allows the contactless card to transmit information to the secondary device using NFC signals. The contactless card stores accommodation information related to a physical accommodation desired by the user and transmits that information in the form of an accommodation message to the secondary device after being placed in a NFC field generated by the secondary device. In some embodiments, the contactless card requests an authentication certificate in order to determine a degree of trust prior to sending an accommodation message. In some embodiments, the contactless card may adjust what accommodation information is included in the accommodation message based on the authentication certificate received from the secondary device.

Abstract: Various embodiments are generally directed to copying data to a clipboard of a mobile device from a contactless card using NFC. A mobile device may issue a request to read data from the contactless card. The contactless card may generate encrypted data in response to the request. The mobile device may receive the encrypted data via NFC and transmit the encrypted data to a server for verification. The server may verify the encrypted data and transmit an indication of an account number for the contactless card to the mobile device. The mobile device may then copy the account number to a clipboard of the mobile device.

An application may determine that a payment field of a form has received focus. The application may then receive encrypted data from a communications interface of a contactless card associated with an account. The application may then receive, from a server, verification of the encrypted data. The application may then receive, from the server, an encrypted account number associated with the account, and decrypt the encrypted account number to yield the account number. An autofill service of an operating system (OS) executing on the processor circuit, may then autofill the account number to the payment field of the form.
