Abstract: An apparatus and method for remotely monitoring water usage in real time utilizes a sensor attached to a water meter. The sensor monitors water flowing through the meter by analyzing the water meter's magnetic coupling and processes the data to correlate it to real time flow rates. Data is transmitted through a base unit to remote storage and consumers may access the data with application software installed on electronics such as smartphones and tablets. Four components are combined to allow the real time monitoring of water utilization.

The method further includes identifying a selected portal point from among the plurality of candidate portal points based at least on a first distance from the selected portal point to the location of the listener and a second distance from the selected portal point to the location of the sound emitter and setting a perceived direction of the sound emitter to go through a location of the selected portal point.

Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosed lithium ion rechargeable battery include an anode, a cathode, and a separator including an electrolyte to prevent physical contact between the anode and the cathode, while also providing medium for transporting the lithium ions. In some embodiments, the anode may include a microporous scaffold structure that includes a silicon crystal covered in a thin polycrystalline silicon cover. Additionally, the various embodiments described herein further describe increasing the surface area of the microporous scaffold structure so as to provide a more efficient charge flow between the anode and the cathode. In some embodiment, the two or more microporous scaffold structures are stacked on top of one another so that there is an increase in contact area and reduced contact resistance, thus further increasing the charge capacity of the disclosed lithium ion rechargeable battery.

Each of the specific tasks defined in the workflow routine can be represented by a number of interface elements within the application. At least some of the interface elements can have a number of states of execution defined by the workflow definition and having different content and display attributes. In one embodiment, the states of execution can include a pre-active state, an active state, and a post-active state.

The package further includes an insert disposed on and in direct contact with the inner surface of the lid and facing the cavity. The insert includes a second thermoplastic polyurethane for increasing puncture resistance of the lid from the medical device.
