    Abstract: A vertically and horizontally flexible backpack support frame having a Y-shaped configuration and fitting reversibly into a pocket on a backpack. The support frame is curved horizontally and vertically to conform to the shape of a back of a user. The frame has a raised Y-shaped corrugation for increased strength. A shoulder strap bar attaches reversibly across a longitudinal central opening in the support frame so that the shoulder strap bar is adjustable vertically and horizontally when the support frame is in the backpack. The backpack straps and belt attach reversibly and pivotably to the support frame when the support frame is in the pocket of the backpack.
