    Abstract: It has been found that catalysts comprising zirconium hydrides, hydride alkyls and dihydrides bonded to metal or metalloid oxides in particular zirconium hydride bonded to silica, when contacted with olefins under mild conditions rapidly cause isomerization to thermodynamic mixtures.
