  • Publication number: 20230417096
Abstract: A system may have a closure with an electrically controlled actuator. Sensor circuitry may gather user input. The sensor circuitry may include a force sensor, touch sensor, proximity sensor, and/or other sensors. Based on input from the sensor circuitry, the closure may be slid relative to a system body or may otherwise be moved relative to the body. The sensor may receive user input from a user's fingers. This allows the movement of the closure to track user hand motions. To open and close the closure, a user may press against closure edge sensors mounted to edges of the closure. Closure motion may also be controlled by button press input, proximity sensor readings, touch sensor input and/or other user input provided to an input device in the system.

  • Publication number: 20230350018
Abstract: A system that includes a radar sensor configured to transmit radar waves receive a first group of reflected radar waves and a second group of reflected radar waves. A restraint includes a material that causes the transmitted radar waves to reflect off the restraint to generate the first group of reflected radar waves, and the second group of radar waves is reflected off objects other than the restraint. A controller is configured to determine a shape of the restraint based on the first group of reflected radar waves.

  • Patent number: 10759246
Abstract: A stability control system that detects a change in a vehicle operating characteristic and sends a stabilizing command to an actuator system based on identifying the change is described. The actuator system applies a first magnetic field having a predetermined strength to an electropermanent magnet for a predetermined duration based on receiving the stabilizing command. The first magnetic field transitions the electropermanent magnet from a first state to a second state. The electropermanent magnet generates a second magnetic field in the second state. The second magnetic field modifies at least one of a spring constant or a mechanical resistance of a suspension component within a suspension system of the vehicle, and the electropermanent magnet retains the second state after the predetermined duration in absence of the first magnetic field.

  • Publication number: 20190355015
Abstract: This disclosure describes techniques for identifying most influential customers by determining various influence scores and metrics associated with each in-network customer and off-network customers that communicate with one or more in-network customers. A particular in-network customer can be assigned or have calculated for him or her a social media influence score, a voice call score, and an SMS score, and a particular off-network customer can be assigned or have calculated for him or her an acquisition score. The scores can be used in various context to generate recommendations for products and/or services, provide targeted marketing, and/or conduct performance analysis.

  • Publication number: 20180255614
Abstract: A closed-loop LED drive circuit includes at least one LED, a voltage source, and a voltage regulator connected to the voltage source to provide a regulated voltage output. A one-time-programmable voltage source is connected to an output of the voltage regulator and a current controlled drive circuit is connected to the one-time-programmable voltage source for providing a drive current to the at least one LED in response to an output from the one-time-programmable voltage source. An end of line tester monitors the light intensity of the LED device and provides a signal indicative thereof to said one-time-programmable voltage source. The one-time-programmable voltage source stores the light intensity value and uses the light intensity value to control its output voltage to the current control drive circuit.

  • Patent number: 8126428
Abstract: A subscriber management system for a communication system having a radio access network coupled to by a gateway node to a packet switched network. The system consolidates three prior art subscriber management system components, a DPI device, a QoS Policy Manager 40, and an Application Manager 28, into a DPI platform. The system also relocates functions to the DPI platform that were previously provided by the gateway node in prior art networks. Specifically, an Accounting Client 34, a Hotlining function 36, and a QoS SFA function 44 are located to the DPI platform. By consolidating network components and relocating functions to the DPI platform, the number of control interfaces in the network can be reduced. Further, network components produced by different vendors may be integrated more easily. A method of implementing hotlining in the system is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20050147734
Abstract: A system and method for application of therapeutic and protective coatings to multiple tubular medical devices in a high volume production process. One or more tubular medical devices, such as stents, are placed on a coating-absorbent core, and coating is applied to the device(s), for example, as when the device-carrying core is passed through an extrusion coating machine to apply the coating in a uniform manner. Once coated, the medical device(s) may be quickly and efficiently removed from the core by causing the core diameter to decrease, such as by applying elongating tension to the core to cause the core diameter to radially contract, thereby allowing the coated device(s) to be simultaneously freed from the core. Improved coating uniformity, increased coated device removal ease and minimized bridging of openings in the tubular medical device may be obtained with a core that absorbs excess coating.
