Patent number: 10116394Abstract: Disclosed systems and methods transmit and receive data encoded as optical signals that include a progression of symbols, with each symbol represented as a combination of light frequencies. Light is used as the carrier medium to limit reception to devices that are within visible range of the transmitting device. No mapping of data to symbols is required for generation of the symbol progression by the transmitter and no mapping of symbols to data for recognition of the symbols is required by the receiver. Disclosed embodiments allow arbitrary selection among a plurality of mappings between symbols sent and symbols received. Embodiments are robust to: ambient lighting conditions, differences in optical and temporal response of the first and second devices, and differences in relative orientation between the first and second devices. Embodiments enable a variety of functions including device discovery, feature discovery, beacon identification, status reporting, error readout, key exchange, and authentication.Type: GrantFiled: September 20, 2016Date of Patent: October 30, 2018Inventors: Christopher A. Estes, Jeffrey Stuart Urban

Patent number: 10085939Abstract: Stable non-alcoholic transdermal hydrogel of dexibuprofen was prepared by using a simple manufacturing process, and the experimental trials showed that the pH modifying agent, antioxidant and water miscible solvent are the essential excipients to obtain stable non-alcoholic transdermal hydrogel of dexibuprofen. The dexibuprofen hydrogel prepared using carbopol as a gelling polymer produced an opaque gel, whereas hydrogel prepared using hyroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) as a gelling polymer produced a transparent gel. There was no significant changes observed with respect to physical description, pH, assay and particularly to the related substance values when the hydrogels were subjected to the stability study at accelerated condition (40° C./75% RH) for 3 months in laminated tubes.Type: GrantFiled: August 12, 2015Date of Patent: October 2, 2018Assignee: Strides Shasun LimitedInventors: Jeffrey Stuart Bergman, Sampathkumar Devarajan, Selvakumar Ramalingam, Anandsenthil Vel Palanisamy

Publication number: 20160232880Abstract: Trigger-based image control (TIC) systems in accordance with various embodiments of the invention control the distribution, concealment, and revealing of hidden images and linked media sequences. The hidden portions of images can be hidden by obscurants (also referred to herein as “peeqs”) that can be removed when an attempt to view the hidden portion of the images is approved by an originator of the hidden image. In addition, sequences of media and images can be viewed via interaction with linking peeqs. TIC systems can provide for a graphical user interface control scheme by which originators of images can place constraints on the delivery of peeq obscured images and/or peeq linked images. TIC systems can further provide verification of the appropriateness of altered, original, linked, and hidden images.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 11, 2016Publication date: August 11, 2016Applicant: Peeqsee, Inc.Inventors: Vacit Arat, Scott Thomas Sullivan, Jeffrey Stuart, Kalana Jayatilake
