  • Publication number: 20100090927
Abstract: A system and a method for creating a light emitting apparatus are disclosed herein. The light emitting apparatus includes at least one display module having at least one light emitting element, in which the display module is connected between one of a support and a support bar at one end and another of a support and a support bar at the other end. The display module may then be electrically connected to another display module and be configured to emit light using the light emitting element.

  • Patent number: 6877642
Abstract: A dispenser for dispensing liquid from a collapsible bag has a back plate and a cover hingedly attached thereto for movement between open and closed positions. The back plate carries a bag retainer and pump support which receives the bag which, in turn, carries a collapsible dome-type pump on its front surface adjacent its bottom edge. The pump includes a transparent collapsible dome and the dispenser cover includes a push bar for collapsing the dome to expel material. The push bar also has a clear window overlying the collapsible dome when the cover is closed.

  • Patent number: 6390329
Abstract: An apparatus for dispensing a measured quantity of fluid includes a touchless object sensor and a container carrying a supply of fluid. A dispense mechanism is coupled to the container to control an amount of fluid to be dispensed. A pump actuator mechanism is connected to the object sensor such that detection of an object by the object sensor cycles the pump actuator mechanism to engage the dispense mechanism which, in turn, dispenses a measured quantity of fluid. A series of lights are sequentially illuminated to instruct a user where to place the object to activate the touchless sensor and the pump actuator mechanism.

  • Patent number: 6216916
Abstract: A pump for dispensing fluid from a dispenser includes a base in fluid communication with a source of fluid carried by the dispenser and with the atmosphere. The pump includes a base attachable to the source of fluid, a flexible transparent dome attachable to the base in overlying relationship therewith and in fluid-tight relationship, and a retainer attachable to the base in partial overlying relationship with the dome to retain the dome on the base. The pump also includes valves for selectively opening and closing the pump to fluid communication with the source of fluid and the ambient atmosphere.

  • Patent number: 6065639
Abstract: A fluid dispenser which discharges a predetermined amount of fluid upon actuation of a actuator includes a counter and at least two timers for use by users of the device. The apparatus further includes a switch coupled to the actuator wherein the switch generates a use signal. An operating circuit is carried by the dispenser and provides a processor which receives the use signal and increments or decrements a counter by one. Additionally, the processor generates a flag signal to indicate which of the timers is in use. Each timer has associated therewith a distinct sensor output such as a sound or light to indicate to the user the start of a washing cycle and completion thereof. In the event more than two users are present, the sensor output is not provided. However, a counting event is still recognized. Of course, multiple users of the device or sensor outputs could be provided if desired.

  • Patent number: 5580164
Abstract: A power lens for use in an automated color mixing wash luminaire is formed of a disc of cast transparent material. The disc includes a plurality of lens elements in a honeycomb pattern. Each element has a convex surface. The convex surfaces form an arcuate band extending around a surface of the disc. The convex surfaces have various radii. A plurality of lens elements having the same radius are grouped together in abutting relationship. Six different radii are represented in the lens so that six groups of elements are formed around the band.

  • Patent number: 5515254
Abstract: An automated color mixing wash luminaire includes a movable yoke and a housing movably connected to the yoke. The housing has a first portion including a light source and provides for removing heat generated from the light source. A second portion of the housing includes movable color filters and a power lens. The light source is operable to project a beam of light along a path through the color filters and the lens. Heat removal is provided by cooling fins and at least one heat filter supported in the path of the beam so that a portion of the beam passes through the heat filter and a portion of the beam is reflected from the path toward the cooling fins. The power lens is formed by a disc of cast transparent material including several lens elements in a honeycomb pattern. Each lens element has a convex surface. At least one of the color filters is a gradient density color filter formed of a disc-shaped substrate having a planar surface including a photolithograpically etched film deposited thereon.
