    Abstract: A harvester reel for an agricultural harvester header includes a central rotatable shaft; a plurality of reel tine bars and a cam assembly for guiding rotation of the plurality of reel tine bars. The reel tine bars extend widthwise across the reel and are connected to the central rotatable shaft for rotation therewith. Each of the plurality of reel tine bars include a tine. The cam assembly includes a cam and a diverter adjacent the cam. The diverter is movable between a disengaged position, in which the cam does not guide rotation of the tine bars, and an engaged position, in which the cam does guide rotation of the tine bars. The diverter is biased toward the engaged position.

    Abstract: A hydraulic cooler pressure isolation circuit for a header of an agricultural harvester equipped with a reservoir and a pump. The circuit comprises a hydraulic fluid cooler, a supply line extending from the hydraulic fluid cooler to the pump, a return line extending from the hydraulic fluid cooler to the reservoir, and a drain line operatively in fluid communication with the return line for connecting to the reservoir. A first valve, a second valve, a return valve, and a bypass valve of the circuit operate to direct hydraulic fluid flow through the cooler under normal system operating conditions, and direct hydraulic fluid flow to bypass the cooler when the system experiences high pressure operating conditions at the cooler.

    Abstract: A system and method for capturing grain on a header of an agricultural vehicle either before, during or after raising the header in a headland sequence. The header includes (i) a cutter bar, (ii) either an auger or belt positioned adjacent the cutter bar, (iii) a reel positioned at an elevation above the cutter bar, and (iv) a device that is configured to adjust a gap between the reel and the cutter bar. During a harvest mode, the gap is set to a first distance, and, during the headland sequence, the gap is set to a second distance that is less than the first distance. At the second distance, tines on the reel are positioned to sweep crop off the cutter bar toward either the belt or the auger.

The system includes a fluid line for delivering fluid to a motor that drives the laterally extending conveyor. A directional flow control valve is connected to the fluid line and is movable between a first state in which the directional flow control valve is configured to deliver the fluid to the motor in a first fluid direction to cause the motor to move the laterally extending conveyor in a first movement direction, and a second state in which the directional flow control valve is configured to deliver the fluid to the motor in a second fluid direction that is different from the first fluid direction to cause the motor to move the laterally extending conveyor in a second movement direction that is opposite to the first movement direction.
