  • Patent number: 10508710
Abstract: A flywheel is provided with an annular drive shaft and a stationary cooling member for directing a coolant into the drive shaft annulus. Coolant pumped through the cooling member will contact the wall of the annulus to cool the drive shaft and components thermally coupled to the drive shaft. Where the flywheel has an upright axis of rotation with the annulus opening downwardly, coolant falls from the annulus to a sump positioned below the drive shaft.

  • Patent number: 7575671
Abstract: A monitoring port assembly for a fluid treatment system, such as for use in an ultra-violet water treatment system. The port assembly comprises a sensor port cup having a port for access to an interior of the fluid treatment vessel. The port is offset from the central axis of the sensor port cup. A cylindrical body, having an offset through-hole to receive a sensor assembly, is disposed within the sensor port cup for rotational movement about the central longitudinal axis between an operational position where the offset through-hole is aligned and coincident with the port, and a servicing position where the offset through-hole is displaced relative to the port. Sensors can be safely and conveniently removed from or installed into a port in the fluid treatment vessel by rotating the cylindrical body from the servicing to the operational position.

  • Patent number: 7293580
Abstract: The valve includes a body having five surfaces and a plurality of blind holes, grooves and channels interconnected with the blind holes to form communication net. Two rectangular diaphragms are embedded separately into the grooves so as to selectively open and close the blind holes. An internal sliding base with an external sliding base coupled to the external periphery thereof and comprises a sliding section and an internal press pillar disposed separately on two corresponding ends of the bottom of the sliding section. The two internal press pillars are capable of selectively opening and closing the two diaphragms. The external sliding base includes an external press pillar disposed separately on both corresponding ends of the concave groove. A casing for covering the external periphery of the external sliding base is secured with the body. At least one elastic member is installed between the top surface of the casing and the external sliding base.

  • Patent number: 5151678
Abstract: The apparatus relates to safety belts having a flexible support member forming the body of the belt and an electroluminescent flexible strip extending substantially the length of the belt and exposed to one side of the belt which is activated by means of a power supply connected to the electroluminescent flexible strip. This safety belt has low power requirements whereby the user can wear the belt under low light conditions for extended periods of time and be assured of adequate visible recognition.
