  • Publication number: 20240138294
Abstract: Various embodiments of a cutting deck assembly and a grounds maintenance vehicle that includes such assembly are disclosed. The assembly includes a top surface and a sidewall extending from the top surface. The top surface and the sidewall partially surround a first cutting chamber and a second cutting chamber. The assembly further includes a channel disposed adjacent a rear portion of the sidewall and extending along a channel axis between a first end and a second end of the channel, where the first end of the channel is connected to an outlet of the first cutting chamber; and a ramp disposed at least partially within the channel and adjacent the second end of the channel. The ramp includes a directing surface that is adapted to deflect at least a portion of clippings that enter the channel from the outlet of the first cutting chamber.

  • Patent number: 8416939
Abstract: A method of using a computer to provide music on hold, including receiving a telephone call from a caller; determining that the telephone call is to be put on hold at a computer at a first location; using the computer to retrieve from a memory coupled to the computer a music genre corresponding to a telephone number for the telephone call, wherein the telephone number corresponds to a second location; sending a request to a media server for a music file containing music fitting the music genre corresponding to the second location, wherein the media server has stored therein music files for a plurality of genres for a plurality of locations; and streaming via the media server the music file containing music fitting the music genre corresponding to the second location to the caller.

  • Patent number: 6939078
Abstract: A precast concrete slab and framing system is placed in walkways, curb ramps, platform edges, and areas of pedestrian traffic where they intersect with vehicular traffic, warning the visually handicapped of dangerous crossings. The precast slabs, which incorporate raised, truncated domes on the top side and a floated finish on the bottom side, are made to be set in the frame which has been set and cast into fresh concrete. A number of slabs are placed in a frame abutting each other on top of sand and the edges are filled with sand to lock them into place. The top surface is placed to be flush with the walking surface.

  • Patent number: 6360709
Abstract: A piston and cylinder assembly according to the invention includes a cylinder block having a cylinder defined by a cylinder bore wall, a cylinder head connected to the cylinder block, and a piston for reciprocating in the cylinder relative the cylinder head. A combustion chamber for an air/fuel mixture has a volume formed by the cylinder bore wall, cylinder head, and the piston, and is divided into an intake side and an exhaust side by a longitudinal center axis of the piston. A spark plug is mounted in the cylinder head and extends into the combustion chamber to ignite the air/fuel mixture therein. A crown of the piston has a raised peak offset from the longitudinal center axis for providing a homogeneous air/fuel mixture in the combustion chamber near the spark plug.

  • Patent number: RE49947
Abstract: A system for supplying hydrogen gas to a lighter-than-air (LTA) vehicle includes a manifold having multiple vessels. Each vessel has a first chamber that is separated from a second chamber by a barrier. A trigger assembly integrated with the barrier allows a liquid to be combined with a reactant and a catalyst in the second chamber to form a chemical reaction to generate hydrogen gas. A pressure relief valve located on each vessel opens to allow the hydrogen gas to exit when a predetermined pressure is reached, and the hydrogen gas is supplied to the LTA vehicle connected to the manifold.
